Noah Dettwiler, a Moto3 driver, is no longer in critical condition after a serious crash at Sunday’s Malaysian Grand Prix.
After colliding with Moto3 world champion Jose Antonio Rueda during a sighting lap before the race, Dettwiler, 20, underwent several successful surgeries but still managed to remain in a “stable but still critical” condition.
Moto3 is the division’s entry level over Moto2 and MotoGP.
The rider’s CIP Green Power team and his family released a statement on Wednesday, saying that “Noah’s condition is now stable and no longer critical.”
“He will continue to be closely monitored in the intensive care unit.”
