On Wednesday night, the Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Black Stars of Ghana 2-1 to reach the Unity Cup final in London.
In the entertaining “Jollof” derby, Nigeria won the title of best team in the entertaining effort thanks to goals from Cyriel Dessers and an own goal from a Ghanaian defender.
In the fourteenth minute, Dessers, assisted by Sodiq Ismail, put a clinical finish on the Eagles’ schedule.
Five minutes later, when Ghana’s Razak Simpson unintentionally turned the ball into his net, the Super Eagles were awarded a significant second goal.

Ghana struggled in the first half, never recording a single shot on target.
In the 70th minute, Ghanaian substitute Brandon Asante-Thomas restored the Black Stars’ lead.
Nigeria will face Jamaica in the Unity Cup final on Saturday following their victory over Ghana.
