Gbenga Daniel, a former state governor, is being requested by the state government within two weeks by the Ogun High Court sitting in Sagamu. &nbsp,

Justice O. S. Oloyede ordered Senator Daniel to turn in his papers to the government on Tuesday, as requested by him and other local residents.

In response to Daniel’s motion, O. T. Olaotan, the government’s solicitor general and permanent secretary, along with R. B. Kadiri (DCL), A. E. Odukoya, and W. A. Onawole, served on the claimants’ attorneys.

The attorney argued that the case was not ready for hearing and that the court was also reluctant to accept the application.

However, A. O. Kotoye (SAN), along with O. T. Are and A. O. Adeniyi, represented the claimants, requested that the court extend the interim order that was previously granted, which will cease after seven days.

The defense argued that the court should order the claimants/applicants to use the government’s two-week extension and provide the necessary documents to the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning, which other parties served with the same notices have been delivering.

After that, Justice Oloyede instructed the parties to carry on the current situation. He also urged them to think about settlement options.

He further instructed the applicants/claimants to profit from the extension and provide the government agency with the necessary paperwork as requested.

Both the defendants’ and the claimants’ attorneys both agreed that the proceedings should be postponed until October 13th, 2025.
