Ben Mee, a defender for Brentford, has announced that he will leave the club at the end of the season.
After 11 years at Burnley, the 35-year-old left for Brentford on a free transfer in July 2022. The former England Under-21 international has played 67 times for the Bees and has five goals.
He has only started two Premier League games and five starts since coming on the bench this year.
The Fulham derby on Sunday will be his final home game.
He said, “I’m really proud and grateful to have had the pleasure of playing here,” calling it “a unique club full of fantastic people.
“I’ll definitely be looking to do that somewhere next season and beyond because I still have a lot to give on the pitch.” Let’s hope for a strong season-end, at least for the time being.
Thomas Frank, head coach at Brentford, stated: “Ben has been fantastic for us. His first season was outstanding, and he was a big part of our Premier League ninth place finish.
