The executive producer and the banker later proved to be the same person during the program’s first run on Channel 4 in 2005.

The identity of Deal or No Deal’s mystery banker was a secret for many years before it was revealed that they were actually a huge Coronation Street star. During the programme’s original run on Channel 4 from 2005 to 2016, the executive producer and the banker turned out to be the same person.

Glenn Hugill, who was best known for playing Alan McKenna on Coronation Street from 1996 to 1997, was the banker of Deal or No Deal. The actor played detective Alan in 86 episodes of the series and was supposed to wed Fiona Middleton.

However, Alan and Jim McDonald’s wedding ceremony were postponed after Jim McDonald revealed his relationship with Fiona. The actor also appeared in programs like Chandler & Co., The Upper Hand, and Dalziel and Pascoe. He appeared on the 2001 television series The Mole as a presenter in 2001.

In early 2023, Glenn sold his production company, Possessed, to ITV and became C.C.O. of Wheelhouse, the media empire founded by American talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. He was previously the managing director of the company, which quickly became one of the most successful production companies in the UK.

Glenn’s IQ score of 207 on a national IQ test for under-16s when he was ten years old was the highest ever result in the nation.

The Northern Echo, a local newspaper, reported that he took an adult version of a test that returned a score of 177, the highest possible result.

On Deal or No Deal, Glenn is alleged to have played the banker for ten years, but it is unknown who took his place in Stephen Mulhern’s new ITV version.

I’ve said it before, “I don’t know who the banker is,” Stephen said. So I wouldn’t be able to identify the culprit. Therefore, he could always pass me.

Stephen added that Stephen “allegedly enters the hotel and listens to the contestants and what they’re up to.” The voice on the phone is “male.” Therefore, I have to repeat what he says when he calls me.

He will reply, “Just tell them blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.” However, he gives him nicknames. Like “Two Wine Wendy,” which has an extra wine every time. It’s incredibly creepy.

What was he going to sound like the first time the phone rang? What will he look like? He doesn’t, however, hold any prisoners. One contestant in particular has a really bad time and ride, and the phone rings at the end of the episode when the contestant is nearly tears.

I’m anticipating that he’ll at least at least a little console me. And he left, “Just tell him it’s not a pity party,” he said. Let’s get to the point with tomorrow and answer the phone.
