Publisher Harper Collins has dropped David Walliams. The star has reportedly been fired by the organization as a result of allegations of inappropriate behavior toward young women.

The agent has published a number of books, including popular children’s titles, with the former Britain’s Got Talent star. He has since been accused of having “harassed” junior female employees at Harper Collins, though.

HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new books by David Walliams, according to a spokesman for the magazine.

Former BGT judge David Walliams was a former member of the REX and Lloyds.

The author is aware of this decision, according to a spokesperson who spoke to the Telegraph.

They continued to state to the publication that HarperCollins has procedures in place for reporting and investigating concerns. We do not make any comments on internal issues in order to protect people’s privacy.

The most recent allegations come after Walliams resigned from his spot as a judge of Britain’s Got Talent in November 2022. He had been a nearly ten-year member of the program.

However, he resigned after the transcript of his comments about contestants was made public.

Before abruptly leaving, he had sat on the BGT panel with Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and Simon Cowell. Bruno Tonioli, the comic’s former Strictly Come Dancing partner, replaced him the year before.

Walliams apologised when he left. He continued, “These were private conversations, and they were never intended to be shared like the majority of conversations with friends.” I apologize, though.

One BGT hopeful was called “a c**t,” according to his comments. And during breaks during the 2020 series’ filming, he said of another, “she thinks you want f**k her, but you don’t.”

The language used by Walliams was “inappropriate,” according to a BGT production company representative at the time. They continued, “those involved have been spoken to and reminded of their responsibilities and the show’s expectations for future professional conduct.”

In a High Court writ, Walliams then brought a lawsuit against Fremantle BGT producers. He claimed that Fremantle “recorded, recorded, and retaining” private conversations for the entire ten years that he had done so in violation of data protection laws.

He claimed that after leaving the talent contest, he found himself struggling with dark, suicidal thoughts. In legal documents related to the writ, he claimed.

We had a long and successful relationship with David, and we are shocked and depressed by this legal action, according to a Freemantle spokesperson who spoke to the Mirror in October 2023.

We, for our part, will continue to be on hand and willing to talk through this dispute amicably. We will examine the various allegations and are ready to vigorously defend ourselves in the interim, though.
