After his marriage to pop singer Lily Allen ended, David Harbour has since revealed that he has a close relationship with Stranger Things co-star Winona Ryder.
David Harbour has opened up about his close friendship with Winona Ryder – following his explosive fall out with estranged wife, Lily Allen. The 50-year-old actor saw his marriage to 40-year-old Lily implode in recent weeks amid accusations of infidelity.
David has reportedly turned to 54-year-old Stranger Things co-star Winona – who has been in a relationship with fashion designer Scott Mackinlay Hahn, 55, since 2011 – for emotional support. The pair have played Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers on the hit Netflix supernatural drama since 2016.
After Lily let rip on the American actor with her new album West End Girl, David was dragged into the headlines last month. David is said to be looking for solace on the shoulder of his coworker after being accused of being unfaithful.

The actor discussed his friendship with Winona in a recent Esquire issue. He continued, “I think people who have done that in a way that makes me believe they did it and fall in love with them in a fake reality just have such awe of it.”
He continued about his Stranger Things co-star, saying, “She’s such a deeply emotional person that I could never be. I believe she feels things in a way that I could never feel.” My brain couldn’t develop that much empathy for her. She is simply an extraordinary creature.
A source told The Sun that David’s comments about Winona’s friendship were mutually beneficial. When they begin promoting the final episodes of their show, the source claimed, “She has his back, and she’ll be at his side next month.” She doesn’t use harsh words.
She’ll be there for David because it’s obvious that he’s getting a raw deal in all of this, just like she did during Johnny Depp’s scandal.
Lily lashes out at her husband in her album. Lily talks about her sleep issues in a song called Ruminating that she has written. She says, “I can’t stand seeing her naked.
Then she sings, “Why can’t you wait for me to return home?” This conversation is too large for a call. I’ve spent the night ruminating and running. Did you look into her eyes while giving her a kiss?
Have you enjoyed yourself? Will you not tell me that I’m still your number one now that it’s over, baby? Because you are my number one. And there are other tracks that make similar accusations.
David made a comment about his regret over his choices in a conversation with Esquire. He was asked by the magazine if there was anything in his life that he would change, and he responded, “It’s a difficult question, the question of regret, or something.” I would alter nothing or everything.
You either completely accept your path and come to terms with the fact that even the ups and downs and mistakes are journey-related, and that there is truth and development, wisdom, and deeper connection and empathy in everything.
“It kind of feels like a house of cards because you kind of have to change something all the time.” He added that if he were to make changes, “everything” would be changed and would just make my life happy and silly, but adding that this would mean he “wasn’t an artist anymore.”
