Victoria and David Beckham no longer follow their separated son Brooklyn on Instagram, with the father previously revealing that he was completely “paranoid.”
The bitter rift between David and Victoria Beckham and their eldest son Brooklyn appears to be deepening with no resolution in sight, with the pair no longer following their estranged son Brooklyn on Instagram
Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, were notably absent from David’s extravagant and celebrity-packed 50th birthday bash in May, and the pair stayed tight-lipped following the announcement that the former England captain has at last secured his coveted knighthood.
After Victoria posted a stocking she’d posted for Brooklyn on Instagram, it appeared as though there might have been reconciliation. However, the relationship has been tense for some time, with rumors that Nicola’s father is billionaire Nelson Peltz is “spoiled” and that her supporters are fighting back against “one-sided and false claims.”

In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, friends revealed: “Nicola doesn’t deny she’s had a fortunate life, and she’s grateful for it. But she’s also been working for over 20 years, and now writes, directs, and produces her own projects. Her parents are proud to support their children, and the idea that this reflects poorly on them simply doesn’t hold up.”
They added: “Calling her spoiled is false. For her wedding, she requested donations to support Ukraine instead of gifts, and she runs Yogi’s House, a rescue that saves dogs from euthanasia in shelters. These one-sided and false attacks have gotten out of hand.”
There are rumors about where the family feud started, with some suggesting that it started with Nicola and Brooklyn’s wedding in 2022. According to insiders, Victoria and David’s recent purchase of a new LA pad reportedly served as a “dagger in the heart” for them.
Yet in the 2023 Netflix series – Beckham – the former England captain made a poignant confession about his eldest lad that predates their current distance, revealing the profound depth of his paternal affection for Brooklyn.
David reflected on the time that followed Brooklyn’s arrival in 1999, which was a very turbulent time in his football career. David famously received a red card for infamously kicking Diego Simeone in the 1998 World Cup match, which sparked outrage among fans who held him accountable for the team’s withdrawal from the crucial competition.
He confessed that the episode left him “clinically depressed,” and it actually occurred shortly after Victoria told him that she was expecting their first child. David was still fighting his demons when Brooklyn arrived, and the constant barrage of public rage he faced made him “paranoid” about the harm that might result from Brooklyn’s arrival. “It was so extreme,” I thought. I was hated by the entire nation. I was afraid. My life was completely altered by it. I felt very alone and vulnerable. Every single day, wherever I went, I was subjected to abuse,” David recalls.
“People spit at you, abuse you, come up to you and say some of what they said,” you say. That was challenging.
When Brooklyn arrived, David was left without time to rest or even stay with his wife and son, who he had been battling with because he was worried that someone might hurt the child as retribution for his actions. Brooklyn and Victoria slept next to each other, and Victoria said, “absolutely not. Because I was afraid someone would steal him, I’m sleeping with my head against the door. I was concerned because it was supposed to be a happy moment, which it was, of course. I didn’t want him to enter this life while I was experiencing what I was going through.
