After David Beckham refused to comment when asked if he had a message for his son following his erupting statement, body language and communications expert Judi James shares her thoughts.
An expert has discovered that there are no indications that “Brand Beckham” has even remotely slowed down as a result of Brooklyn’s explosive statement on Monday.
On Tuesday, David Beckham made his first appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos after Brooklyn fiercely defended his wife Nicola Peltz and placed the blame on his parents’ for ‘controlling’ his life for years as he revealed why he has finally cut ties for good.
In his final moments, David was captured on camera smiling as he addressed the microphone and addressing his interview, which hardly showed any signs of the family turmoil. When questioned if he had a message for his son or if he felt depressed that his family business was being broadcast in public, he said he had no desire to comment.

However, despite receiving an astonishing number of claims from his eldest son just hours prior, body language and communication expert Judi James claims the footballer appeared “very confident”.
Judi tells The Mirror: “David sits in a very confident, symmetric pose here with his legs slightly splayed and a hand on each thigh. He is using one hand to gesticulate in what looks like a relaxed manner.
His facial expression suggests good humor, and there are crinkling circles around his eyes to give the impression of congruence. Even leaning back a little to give the impression of being open rather than a nervous person when being questioned.
On Monday evening, Brooklyn said that he had been silent for” years “and made” every effort “to keep his family feud private. He also claimed that Lady Victoria and Sir David Beckham, his parents, had attempted to “strike” his relationship with his billionaire wife.
The social media content creator also claimed that Posh Spice had danced very inappropriately on him at his wedding in 2022 and had also allegedly” hijacked “his first dance with Nicola. The alleged awkward moment was witnessed by 500 guests.
Brooklyn’s statement, which was posted on his Instagram story, read: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
Although it has been reported that the aspiring chef had been thinking about reaching out to his family, he couldn’t be more wrong. He continued, “My family and I do not want to reconcile.” I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.
My parents have controlled the stories about our family that have been published in the press for my entire life. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into. Recently, I’ve seen with my own eyes how frequently they lie in the media, largely at the expense of innocent people, to maintain their own image. But I think truth is always revealed.
The 26-year-old also claimed that his famous parents had wanted him to sign the rights to his name away, which he claims could have had repercussions for the rest of his life, including repercussions for his wife and any future children. He furiously stated, “My parents have been relentlessly trying to break our relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.” Despite her great enthusiasm for wearing her design, my mother had to rush out and buy Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour. Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.
They resisted if I agreed to do so before my wedding date, fearing that the terms of the agreement would be drawn up. The payday was affected by my holdout, and they haven’t treated me similarly since. During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me ‘ evil ‘ because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola’s Naunni at our table, because they both didn’t have their husbands. Our parents both had tables that were equally close to ours.
“The night before our wedding, members of my family told me that Nicola was ‘ not blood and ‘ not family. ‘ I’ve been the target of constant attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press at their will ever since I started fighting for myself and my family. My brothers and I were sent to fight each other on social media, but they never managed to stop me.
” My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. Marc Anthony directed me to the stage, where my wife and I were scheduled to perform our romantic dance, but instead my mother was waiting to join us. In front of everyone, she danced very inappropriately on me. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to exchange our vows so that we could make brand-new wedding day memories that would not cause anxiety and embarrassment.
Brooklyn went on to claim that his family had invited women from his past into the family and had disrespected his wife without fail. He said:” My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one. My mother has repeatedly eluded my past by inviting women into our lives in ways that were obviously meant to unease us both. Last year, Brooks traveled from Los Angeles to London to celebrate his father’s milestone birthday with him.
He was, however, noticeably absent from the celebrations altogether. He has now claimed that Brooklyn rejected any invitations to see him from his family. This is said to have included a private coffee meeting with David, rather than attending the large public gatherings. He continued, claiming that Nicola was denied access to Nicola when David agreed to see him. He claims that the Beckham family “refused to see him” when they were in Los Angeles.
Brooklyn said:” Despite this, we still travelled to London for my dad’s birthday and were rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him.
“He refused all of our attempts,” he said, “until his big birthday party, where there were cameras around every corner and hundred people there.” When Nicola wasn’t invited, he finally agreed to see me. It was a slap in the face. Later, when my family traveled to LA, they completely denied seeing me.
” My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. First is Brandy Beckham. How much you post on social media or how quickly you leave everything to take a photo with your family, even if it comes at the expense of your work obligations.
And despite the tense fallout slowly happening over several years, Brooklyn insists that he and his wife had gone out of their way to keep the peace and maintain a happy family image. He claims that his family did not reciprocate this, though. He asserts instead that he was ignored when tragic wildfires struck Los Angeles last year.
” We’ve gone out of our way for years to show up and support at every fashion show, every party, and every press activity to show ‘ our perfect family’, “he said, before going on to claim:” But the one time my wife asked for my mum’s support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mum refused.
“My wife controls me in a completely different way,” my wife said. My parents have controlled me most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. That anxiety has vanished for the first time in my life since I left my family. Every morning, I feel content and content with the life I chose.
” My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. For our future families and us, peace, privacy, and happiness is everything we desire.
