In a resurfaced video amid his feud with son Brooklyn, an emotional David Beckham struggled to hold back tears and expressed his pride in his children. Brooklyn criticised his famous parents in a bombshell statement released earlier this week.
David tearfully admitted to being “in awe” of his four children in a clip from his 2023 Netflix documentary Beckham. He said, “They might not be as good as they could, but they are,” which is why I take pride in raising my kids. And I’m so impressed by the way my kids turned out. In one scene, Brooklyn and David can be seen enjoyingly cooking together.

On Monday night, Brooklyn sensationally claimed “Brand Beckham comes first” and slammed his parents for controlling the narrative about him and his wife Nicola Peltz. In his lengthy statement, he said he received “endless attacks”.
“Since the moment I started standing up for myself with my family, I’ve received endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders,” he said in a statement.

He claimed that his parents had tried to “ruin” his relationship with Nicola, but things only started to get worse once their wedding in 2022. When Victoria’s team pulled out of making the gown, Brooklyn claimed that Nicola was left without a dress “at the eleventh hour” for the big day.
He added that his “parents repeatedly pressured and bribed me into giving away my name, which would have affected my wife and our future children.”
In an interview yesterday, David spoke about the “mistakes” his children make on social media. He said: “I have always spoken about social media and the power of social media … For the good and for the bad.
What kids can access these days can be dangerous, they say. However, what I’ve learned to be true, especially in my own relationships with my children. For UNICEF, I’ve been able to use my platform for my following. And it has been the most effective tool for educating children about what’s happening in the world. I’ve tried to educate my children in the same way. Children are permitted to make mistakes, but they do so. They learn in that manner. That is what I try to impart to my children. You sometimes have to allow them to make those errors as well.
