Musician Danny Jones’ wife Georgia has shared a gushing tribute to her ‘rock’ as the couple try to move past the McFly singer’s recent kiss with Maura Higgins.

Earlier this month, Danny, 39, was filmed sharing a drunken kiss with Love Island’s Maura Higgins at a BRIT Awards afterparty. The guitarist and singer has since apologised – while Maura has stayed silent on the matter. In the fallout, Danny’s wife was reported to have temporarily moved out of their family home but has since returned to work things through.

As the couple, who share son Cooper together, try to move on from the scandal, Georgia looked to brighter things in her life as she gushed over her manager and best friend in a sweet Instagram story tribute shared last night. Georgia posted a gorgeous selfie of herself posing alongside her bestie, Buffy Riley, and wrote a gushing message. Georgia wrote: “My buff I cannot explain what a force you have been for me.

“You have been my rock, my person, my manager… But you know a million times more than that. I cannot wait for you to by mummy. You know I am gonna sit in your garden with you for the next year”.

It comes following reports Georgia moved back in to the family home, after she took some time for herself following Danny’s kiss with Maura, 34. Following the release of the shock video of Danny and Maura’s drunken kiss, it has been claimed Georgia had ‘moved out’ of the family home but those close to the star told us she wanted to “decompress” after a highly stressful few days, and was always coming home.

“This wasn’t some grand gesture where she suddenly packed her bags and left,” a source told us. “It was just a girlie few nights at a close pal’s flat. Yes, she wanted some space, but she is home now, and while things are still fragile, they are trying to work things through.”

Meanwhile, another source close to the couple also revealed: “The break has done Georgia a world of good. Being out of the house and with her friend Rose Mahon was what she needed to clear her head. Her relationship with Danny was pushed to breaking point, and they are still trying to work out what they want.”

Danny, Georgia and Maura initially stayed silent after the bombshell revelation. However, two weeks after the incident Danny issued a public statement to deeply apologise to his wife for the kiss with his former I’m A Celebrity campmate.

In a statement, the McFly singer said: “Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.

“I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.”

Meanwhile, Maura has continued to remain silent on the matter – after jetting to the US in the wake of the kiss scandal. During her trip, the Love Island star shared photos of herself riding a horse and on a ranch as she posed in Oh Polly clothes to promote her upcoming collaboration with the fashion brand.

Earlier this week, Maura was snapped back in the UK. She cut a casual but chic figure as she got back to her beauty regime in England.

The 34-year-old, who was dating TOWIE star Pete Wicks before locking lips with Danny, donned sliders, loose black pants, a grey hoodie and a black headband as she paid a visit to a lash specialist before having her nails done.

While Maura looked carefree and stunning as she ran errands, the Irish beauty is reportedly feeling the heat and allegedly believes she “can never speak to Danny Jones again” after their Brits afterparty kiss. It’s claimed Maura is absolutely “mortified” about the whole snog saga, which has spurred a rocky period for Danny’s wedded bliss.

“It’s been a tough few weeks for Maura. She’s mortified and would do anything to erase what happened,” the insider told Closer magazine earlier this week. “She was at complete rock bottom when it all came out. At the same time, she feels like some of the backlash that’s come her way is unjustified.
