Aubrey O’Day, a Danity Kane character, recently discussed whether she will testify in the highly public Sean “Diddy” Combs trial.
Danity Kane alum Aubrey O’Day announced she will not be testifying at the high-profile trial of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. The disgraced rapper, 55, has been in court all week as he faces a number of charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The music mogul, who was detained in September, strongly refutes any allegations that have been made against him. Since his arrest, numerous bail applications have been rejected, and he has been imprisoned. Cassie Ventura, his ex-partner of ten years, spends most of the week on the stand. Aubrey, who rose to fame under Diddy’s guidance, discussed the trial in a recent interview.
The singer, who was allegedly contacted by Homeland Security, told T. J. Holmes and Amy Robach in the trial’s first episode of a new podcast about it that day.
Some people believed her earlier social media post, which she previously shared, indicated a potential appearance at the trial. She captioned the photo, which she took in New York City, “Hey New York!!! Where do you think I should go first, guys?
On iHeart Radio’s Amy Robach &, T. J. Holmes Present: Aubrey O’Day, Covering the Diddy Trial, she said, “No, I’m not here to testify for the Diddy trial, that I know of,” there was a rumor of her being subpoenaed.
She claimed Homeland Security reached out to her and that she had a meeting with them regarding the testimony.
Aubrey said: “I posted on my Instagram that I was here in New York and enjoying myself because I wanted to make it clear to everyone that I am not here testifying.”
She continued, “I look at the beginning of “Making the Band” and Little Aubrey auditioning and I’m like, “I don’t know how I became the sexy face one.”
In 2005, the star and Diddy collaborated on Making the Band, a successful television series he co-produced. She quickly gained popularity among Danity Kane and signed to Bad Boy Records.
Dawn Richard and Shannon Bex were the band’s other members. Diddy revealed that Aubrey was soon expelled from the band during Making The Band 4.
As the trial progresses, additional episodes of Aubrey O’Day’s “Coaching The Diddy Trial” will be available.
