Kim Woodburn gained notoriety for her quick wit, sharp tongue, and self-assuredness when fighting for herself. Before my interview with the television legend last year, I was both incredibly excited and nervous about this. None of us could have anticipated her passing earlier this week.
Before I’m a celebrity, get me out of here! I was given an interview with Kim about her time on the show last year, along with her thoughts on Loose Women anchor Jane Moore, GK Barry, and Coleen Rooney.
I was raised watching Kim on shows like How Clean Is Your House, I’m A Celeb, and Celebrity Big Brother, so I knew she didn’t take any prisoners.
Her feud with Nicola McLean and Jamie O’Hara (who she called Nicole) is perhaps her most memorable moment in the history of the show.
Kim had issues with several of her co-stars while she was in the house, but despite being older than them, she still had more fire and was willing to stand up for what she was against.
I was anticipating several strong lines from Kim from the beginning, and I was also aware that she wouldn’t mince her words.

One of the few stars who wouldn’t be afraid to admit what was really going on, regardless of whether or not it was liked, was the fact that I liked her. My motto, “It’s better to be slapped with the truth than kissed with a lie,” and Kim also had this outlook.
But I didn’t know how cosy and cussy Kim would be. The TV star and expert cleaner, who was speaking to me from her Cheshire home, showed me a side that I wasn’t expecting when I woke up late one morning. She shared that home with her beloved husband Peter.
She addressed me warmly, introduced me, and explained that if I woke up late, I would be in the dole queue. But I couldn’t help but inquire about Kim’s rise to fame toward the end of our conversation. How did a Portsmouth resident suddenly become a household name in her 60s?

She said, “I started watching television when I was 61.” She continued, “Like everyone else, I went out to work, came back, and tried to squeeze in two more days of work, as we all do.” Then, unapologetically, I was discovered working in television. I didn’t apply for the position.
I was discovered, and I’ve always been grateful, and I was instantly enchanted by the fame and wealth I’ve earned over the past month. I entered it so late, and I’m now 82. So I’ve owned a house for 21 years, and now I can leave and purchase things I want.
My husband has a nice car, and I’m ever so grateful. Thank you so much for everything. Simply put, I was fortunate. You remember it at that age, and you never forget. I took a day off from social media to work for personal reasons on Tuesday, and I was so sad when I learned of Kim’s passing.
She was a person who captivated audiences of all kinds and frequently entertained them with her Cameo videos that sang her most recognizable phrases, such as “You chicken livered sh*t” and “damned adulterer”! At 10 o’clock in the evening, I found the footage of my interview. Kim, I appreciate your entertainment. I’m hoping you’re enjoying yourself there.
