Dani Dyer, a former Love Island star, has acknowledged that she needed to talk to a therapist as she navigated her injury-related Strictly Come Dancing exit.
Dani Dyer has revealed that she reached out to her therapist as she tried to come to terms with her Strictly exit. The former Love Island star, 29, was ruled out of the BBC dance contest a week before the live show due to injury.
She now admits to having to get in touch with her therapist because she had to work out how to manage her broken ankle. The reality TV star’s father, Danny Dyer, revealed her struggles, saying she initially couldn’t leave the house.
Dani said the situation was a real test to her mental health. After the EastEnders actor told his daughter nobody likes to see her so down, she said she kept thinking she may have done something wrong for the bad news to come.

She continued, “I spoke to Chris the therapist,” according to the interview on Live and Let Dyer. Because I’ve been fairly stable, I haven’t spoken to him in a while.
Dani continued, “I’ve been in an amazing place, but the therapist picked up the phone and ran it.” She admitted, “He just put things into perspective for me.”
She said watching the live show was hard, but she is pleased Nikita Guzman was able to get a new partner in Amber Davies.
Danny, known for his tough-guy Hollywood roles, also discussed the incident that caused his daughter’s exit. He remarked, “It was a freak f***ing accident.”
Dani continued, “Basically, I fell and rolled my ankle and at first I heard a noise, but I later realized that my ligaments were the cause of the hairline fracture.
They told the physio that if you have a grade one sprain, you can work with a grade one sprain, but my ankle had a grade two sprain on one side and the other had a grade one sprain on the other.
What can we do, I said to the doctor after we went to get a second opinion. physically, please? Can you say something, there must be something here? ” “
She also acknowledged that she was advised to leave the competition after having a conversation with the show’s executives. She continued, “When I spoke with everyone at Strictly, they said, “Listen Dani, we have to withdraw you, because you’re going to be in such pain.”
