Eloise, the daughter of Dame Deborah James, the late Dame of bowel cancer, has heartfelt admissions to Lorraine about her late mother, revealing how she maintains her spirit.
Dame Deborah James’ daughter Eloise has revealed how she keeps her mum’s memory alive.
Deborah’s daughter and mother Heather James joined the Scottish presenter to talk about Deborah’s incredible legacy and the No Butts bowel campaign, now in its fifth year and continuing to save lives.
Her daughter Eloise was just 12 when she lost her mum after her courageous battle with cancer. Now 15, she movingly told Lorraine that, although Christmas is a tough time of year, her mother’s memory keeps her alive.
Eloise described her trailblazing mother, @bowelbabe, in her first TV interview, saying, “I think someone doesn’t leave your life until you lose their memory. She always remembers you. We consider her over the holidays.

She spends time with me at Christmas because she was a holiday person. You ought to have seen her on Halloween, Halloween! She’s with me forever as long as I keep that alive. “Heather also revealed that the No Butts campaign has raised a sizable amount of money and is working to raise money and end lives,” she added.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could make $ 20 million, as Heather said, “We’ve raised] Over $ 19 million.” She further explained that the funds are being used for cutting-edge scientific research. It was so eye opening and the money you all [have] helped us raise, according to Heather, Deborah wanted to do the same. That is what we keep doing.
Hugo, a 17-year-old brother for Eloise, also told the host Lorraine that she is proud to carry on her mother’s cause by raising awareness of the first signs of bowel cancer. Everyone needs to be aware of how it affects everyone, so raising awareness is a good idea. She said it’s better to raise awareness among the younger generation and get checked out early.
Deborah’s mother stated about her daughter back in April that she had endured five years of incurable bowel cancer before passing away in June 2022, at the age of just 40. She lived a triple life, in my opinion, because she had fun with everything from the moment she was a baby girl and continued to do so even after getting diagnosed.
“It was wonderful 40 years with Deborah, but I really wish I could have had more.” She showed me how precious life really is.
Deborah’s widow Sebastien Bowen was revealed to have found love again, three years after her death, when he was seen in London back in June with a mystery woman.
Before she died, the inspirational campaigner – who received a Damehood just weeks before, and was visited by Prince William – insisted that she wanted her husband to ‘move on’ when she was no longer around.
