A hamstring injury to Stephen Curry severely hurt the Golden State Warriors’ victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the NBA playoffs.

After pulling up during the Warriors’ 99-88 victory in Minneapolis, the 37-year-old pulled off before half-time in Game One of the series.

After a defensive play, the two-time MVP grabbed the back of his left leg and attempted to continue before telling the bench he needed to be replaced.

In Curry’s absence, Buddy Hield, Jimmy Butler, and Draymond Green each scored 62 points each.

Curry is likely to miss Game Two (Friday, May 9 at 11:30 BST), at least because of the Warriors’ anticipation of the scan results.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said, “We’re definitely game-planning for him to not be available for game two.”

It’s difficult to imagine that he would play with a hamstring.

He’s obviously crushed because I spoke to him at halftime. We’re all worried about Steph, but the guys picked him up and played a fantastic game.

Pacers two ahead thanks to Haliburton

In Game Two of their second-round play-off game, the Indiana Pacers defeated Cleveland Cavaliers to defeat them.

The Pacers had been leading the entire game until a spectacular fourth quarter, when they outscored the Cavaliers 36-21.

The Cavaliers, Eastern Conference champions, once held a 20-point lead at one point.

However, Haliburton’s stunning step-back three-pointer gave his team a 2-0 series lead after a lively fightback in the final minutes.

The Pacers finished with 23 points each from Aaron Nesmith and Myles Turner, while Haliburton added 20.

Leads are taken by Nuggets and Knicks.

The New York Knicks jumped out to a 1-0 series lead after defeating the Boston Celtics, who are currently in vogue, 108-105.

The Knicks rallied to make it overtime at TD Garden after falling 20 points behind in the third quarter.

With one more second left in overtime, Mikal Bridges stole the win from Jaylen Brown with 29 points each from OG Anunoby and Jalen Brunson.

We each told the other to “keep believing.” Just keep fighting, sticking together, and putting your best efforts. A 20-point shot wasn’t going to happen, according to Brunson.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, the top seed in the west, defeated the Denver Nuggets 121-119 to claim a 1-0 series lead in the process.

Nikola Jokic, a three-time MVP, put together a strong performance that included 42 points, 22 rebounds, and six assists.
