Cruz Beckham’s gigs sell out instantly following his big brother’s bombshell statement on Instagram as he continues his dream to become an indie rockstar

Budding indie rockstar Cruz Beckham’s upcoming tour sold out on Wednesday morning mere minutes after it went on sale, which the singer proudly shared on his Instagram stories.

The youngest of the Beckham clan, who performs with his band Bruz Beckham and the Breakers, is kicking it off with an intimate gig at London’s 150-seater Courtyard Theatre on March 27 – and excitement for the live gigs, particularly amid the furore surrounding the Beckham family, is clearly sky high.

Just hours before Brooklyn’s explosive post dropped, Cruz announced on his own social media that he was going on tour for the first time , and would be performing a special one-night-only gig at London’s The Courtyard Theatre.

Alongside a snap of a ” Cruz Beckham and The Breakers” poster including details of the London date, the 20-year-old wrote: “First of many gigs go on sale at 10 Am on Wednesday, A night of new music, and a few you know (tickets in bio) can’t wait to see ya there.”

The post, which received a notable ‘like’ from his mum Victoria – now the focus of intense speculation after Brooklyn slammed her ‘embarrassing’ and ‘inappropriate’ dancing at his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz, came after a post released the previous day.

It teased a “show announcement on Monday” and featured a slew of photos of the band in a recording studio.

But some of Cruz’s fans have hit out at his big brother, saying his six-page missive against his family had ‘overshadowed’ the budding singer’s big moment.

The 26-year-old aspiring chef has been embroiled in rumours of a family feud with Victoria and David Beckham for over a year, but he broke his silence on Monday, January 19, and insisted he “does not want to reconcile”.

The shock statement included a string of accusations and damning claims about the former Spice Girl and pro footballer, and Brooklyn said he had “no choice” but to “tell the truth about only some of the lies” that have been circulating.

He said his parents had “controlled narratives” about the Beckham family for his “entire life”, and had tried to “endlessly ruin his relationship” with his now wife, Nicola Peltz-Beckham since before their 2021 wedding.

But the timing of the post caused outrage with fans of his younger brother Cruz, 20, and some of them have accused Brooklyn of trying to steal the musician’s thunder.

One person wrote: “Brooklyn knew exactly what he was doing dropping that story at the same time as this. #overshadowed”, and another added: “Your brother is ruining everything your family worked for over a dance and it’s so sad. I’m so sorry he chose today to do this.”

Another suggested Brooklyn was “jealous” of Cruz, adding, “He can talk about it earlier but he chose Cruz’s important moment”.

“He had a lot of time to talk and coincidentally Brooklyn does it at Cruz’s moment,” said another fan.

On X, there were similar sentiments. One user wrote: “Interesting how Brooklyn Beckham tried to overshadow Cruz’s band news by releasing his petty statements just a few hours after Cruz’s announcement. He really is a bitter and petulant person!”

While Brooklyn’s statement was mostly directed at his parents, he seemed to be ruling out any peace-making with any of the family, including his brothers. “I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he wrote. “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

Having trained for years in guitar, piano, drums, and mandolin, Cruz – who decided a career in football like his dad wasn’t for him – began performing with his rock/indie outfit in late 2025, and recently completed 15 unannounced “secret” gigs across the UK to hone his craft.

Reports last year suggested Victoria and David had spent ‘a lot of money’ getting him into the right rooms with movers and shakers of the industry, and in mid-November, Victoria and the family attended one of his low-key gigs in London for friends and family, where they admitted they shared ‘tears of joy and pride’.

Reception for Cruz’s music has largely been positive, with his girlfriend musician Jackie Apostel previously explaining how they first met when put in a studio together to write songs together.

She said: “I went in with an open mind and had no idea what to expect. I left that day knowing you were an unbelievable musician but most importantly that you loved it so much from the bottom of your heart and you would never stop, regardless of what anyone else thought.”
