Jackie Apostel has been a constant source of support for boyfriend Cruz Beckham, cheering on his new music and getting close with his family as they celebrated David Beckham’s knighthood

Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel couldn’t hold back tears as she watched him perform live on stage. The 29-year-old songwriter was visibly emotional as her boyfriend, 20-year-old Cruz – the youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham – sang tracks from his upcoming album during a recent gig.

In a clip shared to Instagram, Jackie was seen offstage filming proudly while wiping her eyes as Cruz performed. After the show, the aspiring musician thanked fans, saying, “That was a fun one, thanks for coming. There’s going to be more soon – more music and more gigs.”

He captioned the video, “That was a fun one,” while Jackie simply commented: “Sobs.” The young couple have been inseparable since they began dating in June last year, later confirming their romance in October by going Instagram official.

Cruz, who has been working hard to carve out his own path in music away from his famous parents, has made quite the statement with his latest releases. However, his debut singles, Optics and Lick The Toad, has raised eyebrows among fans over their explicit nature – with themes of ‘drugs and sex.’

In Optics, Cruz sings, “Take a thousand selfies in your bed while I trip in mine / I love me some mushrooms and good head and an erotic 69.” The chorus adds, “Stay high fashion, no comedown, no crashing but you wanna know how it looks, I wanna know how it feels.”

His second track, Lick The Toad, continues the edgy theme, with Cruz crooning: “Let me take a lick of you mother nature, imma take a lick. Let me take a hit of you mother nature, imma take a hit.”

Despite being the son of global icons, Cruz is determined to prove his talent on his own terms. He’s been performing across various small venues and enlisted The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard to help shape his album. Tracks include Waste Your Pain, John Lennon, Tie Don’t Fit, For Your Love, Yeah Yeah Yeah and Lick The Toad.

Cruz’s first-ever single, If Every Day Was Christmas, came out in 2016, but he’s since shown off his skill as a mature artist. His 2023 release For Ya Love even sparked fan comparisons to Oasis.

His mum Victoria has fiercely defended her son against “nepo baby” accusations, insisting he’s working hard and deserves his place in the industry.

Meanwhile, Jackie has cemented her place within the Beckham clan – as she has shown love towards Cruz’s parents. She recently joined the family for an intimate dinner celebrating David Beckham’s knighthood, wearing a sleek yellow satin gown from Victoria’s fashion label.

Following the dinner, Jackie shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute to the couple, calling them “truly GOOD people.” “There’s nothing quite as beautiful as seeing deserving and truly GOOD people achieve their dreams,” she wrote. “You’re dedicated not only to yourselves reaching your maximum potential but also each other. You celebrate each win as if it was your own.”

While the Beckhams turned out in full force for David’s big day – including Cruz, Romeo and Harper – his eldest son Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz were notably absent. The couple also missed David’s 50th birthday and the premiere of Victoria’s Netflix documentary, fuelling rumours of an ongoing family rift.

Nicola later shared a photo of flowers from her sister Brittany instead, writing, “Omg @brittanyleahpeltz thank you so so so much, these are breathtaking.”
