William Creighton of Northern Ireland won the East Riding Stages, clinching his campaign to win the British Rally Championship title.

Creighton, who finished second in the championship behind Chris Ingram in 2024, claimed his first overall victory in Yorkshire.

Creighton, a former Junior BRC and Junior WRC champion, and co-driver Liam Regan switched to a Toyota GR Yaris for their title bid and won seven out of the 10 tarmac stages.

James Williams and Ross Whittock came in third place behind Irish crew Keith Cronin and Mikie Galvin in the Rally Ireland, while the 27-year-old Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy driver finished in 23.8 seconds.

“It’s our first rally in the car and we hadn’t done so much]in the Yaris] before the event and with such tricky conditions today, it’s just felt good”, Creighton told the BRC.

“I’m really excited for what’s to come. I want to thank Liam for keeping me on the straight and narrow and doing a fantastic job on the notes. I’m just really, really happy”.

Motorsport Ireland Rally crews were locked out of the podium as Kyle McBride won the Junior BRC.

McBride and co-driver Darragh Mullen finished in 10.6 seconds behind Conor Smith and Craig Rahill, while Keelan Grogan and Aytron Sherlock rounded out the podium.
