At the Para Fencing World Championships, British wheelchair fencer Dimitri Coutya defeated Chinese competitor Yanke Feng to claim gold.

At the South Korean Iksan Stadium, Coutya came back from a 9-4 deficit to win the men’s foil category B 15-11.

Following his first success at the World Championships in 2017, the 27-year-old, who won two gold medals at the 2024 Paralympics, won the title for the second time.

It’s my first competition since returning from Paris, so being in such a demanding environment with incredibly tough athletes is mentally challenging, Coutya said.
