Stephanie Davis has opened up on the horror moment she discovered her baby wasn’t breathing. The Coronation Street actress, 32, tried to hold back tears as she revealed how her three-month old son stopped breathing for a second time.

She welcomed her baby Samuel in January but experience the scary ordeal last month. When her baby was just two-months old, Stephanie shared how he faced a “scary episode” that meant he needed to be hospitalised. Thankfully, two women from the hospital’s café, who were working outside, supported Stephanie. They called for an ambulance as they rushed to assist the mother.

Stephanie described how she spent the day in the hospital, “We were just having a nice day, and then suddenly he’s foaming from the mouth with lots of saliva.” You lose your head as a mother, which is torture in itself.

She continued, “Poor baby has had two lumber punctures and had all sorts of things done to him.” It’s been a terrible time. Because I’ve only been crying lately, I’m making an effort to stop crying.

Additionally, he dislikes the wind in his face when he’s in his pram. He begins to blow bubbles and hold his breath when the wind blows in his face. I’m in panic because of it.

“I’m concerned about what transpired yesterday and recently with him because of his reflux,” I hope it doesn’t turn into a series of episodes.

It’s just unbearably worrying and upsetting. Just a reminder, I’m hoping he breathes before worrying that he won’t do it the next time. Stephanie spoke with emotion as she became angry.

She continued, “We are going back to see him because he’s been in the hospital once more.” They instructed me to film him the following time, but I put that last thought out of my mind. I’m attempting to breathe for him.

Stephanie shared her terrifying first-time rushing Samuel to the hospital with us just last month. The actress, who thanked the hospital staff, shared a black-and-white image of her baby’s hand on his hand as she claimed he had a “scary episode.”

She also shared a picture of the hospital’s baby cot as she sat in the corner of the room while giving an update to the audience.

Stephanie wrote, “I just want to say a huge thank you to Whiston Hospital, the staff on the high dependency unit, and the staff on the ward for caring for our baby boy, and @bectommo_x for helping me take him to the hospital and keeping me as calm as possible after what has been the scariest time of my life.

Samuel stopped breathing and went through three frightful episodes on Monday. In the last few days, I’ve felt completely helpless and powerless. I can’t even count how many canulas he’s had to be put in and out plus the rest because he’s had two lumber punctures that unfortunately didn’t work and also had a bloody tap, a head scan, lung scan, and more.

He has been checked thoroughly and given every antibiotic to make sure he is okay. “A lumbar puncture is when cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is collected and tested by a thin needle in the lower back.

She admitted feeling “powerless” as she watched him suffer while doctors worked, adding that it was “absolutely horrendous and traumatic” for her.

In January, Stephanie and her partner Joe McKalroy gave birth to their child. Caben, the eighth-year-old son of a previous relationship, is already a parent to Stephanie.
