Just a few days after giving a heartfelt farewell to Coronation Street, Colson Smith has already signed up for his most recent project. The 26-year-old actor has been a part of the ITV soap opera for 14 years, but last week he filmed his final scenes after being fired by the bosses.
However, Colson wasted no time when putting his stamp on his most recent project, which also has a sweet connection to his Coronation Street co-stars. Due to the need to edit the program, Columbia’s exit storyline will be broadcast later this year.
Colson confirmed last week that he had captured his final moments on Instagram. He shared a photo of himself sitting on The Rovers Return after climbing out of an upstairs window in front of the 212, 000 people on the platform. He said, “Coronation Street, I love you, thank you.”
He said as he spoke to his now-ex-co-stars, Jack P. Shepherd and Ben Price, who play David Platt and Nick Tilsley, that there were “plenty of tears” as he recalled his farewell. “Thank you doesn’t even cover it,” He said, “It doesn’t even pass the mark what I needed to say.” As he addressed Colson’s speech during his wrap party, Jack continued, “It was a very well put off the cuff speech I thought.”
Jack continued, “You covered everything,” while adding, “On the Sofa podcast. You mentioned your initial workplace experiences. From obtaining your first home, finding your first girlfriend, passing your driving test, and other significant accomplishments you’ve made while working.

You said, “Thanks, it’s been amazing, best job I’ve ever had, and only job I’ve ever had,” and people started crying. “Colson uncovered that it was the perfect way to wrap up his flawless first chapter,” he said. Colson also revealed that Craig Tinker had left his co-stars speechless after being one of the top 100 for most episode appearances.
His Coronation Street colleagues gave him a “running holiday” as part of his departure present, and he has already chosen to make the most of it this year. He told Ben and Jack, “I’m going to Kenya, I’m spending seven days at an elite running camp, and I’m going on a three-day safari there.” I’m running with the lions, leopards, and cheetahs, he continued.
Meanwhile, Jack revealed to the public that Colson enjoys running and has run 10k races and marathons at “record-breaking times.” He admitted earlier this year that he had kept the details of his exit a secret since October, but that he had already assumed he would be the newest soap star to have been fired.

He claimed on his podcast that he felt his time on the show was coming to an end and that a message from the personal assistant of the boss for a meeting came to mind at 7 p.m. that confirmed this. He thanked Jack and Ben for their assistance during the meeting. They “paced” up and down the room as they waited for the news and “continued to look at the door.”
He told Jack and Ben during the meeting that knowing you two were present was the hardest part. I just sat down in the green room’s door and glared at you two. Colson quickly inquired if the three could go to Nando’s after Jack hugged her.
He said, “The green room is what I’m going to miss the most than anything else in the world,” not Craig Tinker. In that building, I have learned a lot about life. I’ve spent every day in that place, including every good day of my life.
