As her character prepares to leave the beloved ITV soap, Coronation Street cobbles’ star has launched a new online store where she can sell her pre-owned clothing.
A Coronation Street star has turned to selling old clothes after their exit from the hit ITV soap. Charlotte Jordan, 29, revealed in January her time on the Corrie cobbles is coming to and end after taking on the role of Daisy Midgeley for the past four years.
Charlotte is now “rehoming” some of her wardrobe for as little as £10 in a brand-new move. After revealing that she was ready to “explore other opportunities,” the actress posted her items on the popular website Vinted.
Taking to Instagram, the star shared a snap of her modelling some of the clothing. She wrote: “Happy rehoming! Good for the planet, good for the soul.My vinted wardrobe is live!”
Her website had 15 items listed in her listings. A Marks and Spencer trench coat cost $40, as well as a pair of Converse shoes, cost $20. For just £10, there were several tops from Zara, as well as a glittery bag.
It’s unknown if she will list any additional gear, but the majority of her items have already been quickly purchased online by users.
She recently opened up on her Coronation Street exit, in which she was left dehydrated after sobbing. It was reported a number of her co-stars were also weeping all day as she bid farewell to the role.
She later admitted that she wasn’t a big critic. But let me tell you, I spent about four hours a day crying.
We were supposed to cry in the scene, but both of us were bone dry when we arrived.
We both burst into tears as soon as they yelled our final cut. Typical”. And she revealed that her coworkers and co-stars “made it so special” for her as well.
She continued, “The Corrie gang made it so special for me. I ate my favorite lunch at the canteen, which brought me to tears. I was teary-eyed when the art department gave me this lovely card. I would watch them cry during our final lunch break and watch them talk to Sal [Sally Ann Matthews] or Julia Goulding or Sal [Sterling-Brown]. By the end of the day, I believe I had become medically dehydrated.
Her character Daisy will exit Weatherfield in scenes airing next week. She had previously told Mirror of her future plans, saying: “I’m feeling really grateful for my years on the show and the people I’ve gotten to work with.
Kate [Brooks] has been very supportive of my desire to return to the audition process and has been very generous with Daisy’s exit story because she really wanted to do the character justice.
