Coronation Street star marries Shameless co-star in lavish ceremony alongside celeb pals

Rebecca Atkinson of Coronation Street has addressed her actor boyfriend in front of their celebrity pals, “I do.”
Over the weekend in a lavish ceremony, she wed Shameless star Ben Batt. Rebecca stunned on Saturday afternoon at Lancaster’s stunning Wennington Hall in a white lace gown as Rob Donovan’s iffy prison guard Mandy.
Before the wedding, which took place in Lancaster, Samantha Sidall, her friend and fellow Shameless star, took a photo of Rebecca.
Samantha, who starred in the Channel 4 sitcom alongside Rebecca and Ben, shared a carousel of photos from the couple’s engagement via her own Instagram account.

The newlyweds were photographed embracing their new spouses as they officially became Mr. and Mrs., while another photo captured the happy couple embracing Shameless co-star Lindsey Dawson, who was also present.
As Corrie star Sally Carmichael praised Rebecca and Ben, friends of the famous pair quickly congratulated them. “Oh this has made my day! How stunning and fabulously gorgeous. While one follower continued, “You both look lovely. Congratulations to the couple who are content.
More than 16 years after playing the on-screen couple Karen and Joe in Channel 4’s Shameless, some fans expressed their joy at seeing Rebecca and Ben tie the knot in person.
The Channel 4 smash hit’s fan wrote, “Aww, this is amazing. In real life, Karen and Joe are married. Another gushed, “Omg Karen and Joe are already Karen and Joe in real life.”
After meeting on the set of Shameless in 2009, when Ben joined the cast as Joe Pritchard’s character, the pair are thought to have started dating. Rebecca first appeared on the program on C4 in 2004 as a regular.
In recent scenes, the actress has become a household name on ITV. Mandy, the prison guard, made her debut earlier this year as part of Rob Donovan’s return story.
