Coronation Street’s Bethany Platt actress Lucy Fallon announced her engagement just a few months ago
Coronation Street favourite Lucy Fallon had her co-stars rallying round after sharing an emotional update with fiancé Ryan Ledson.
The actress shot to fame when she joined the ITV soap in 2015 as Bethany Platt, daughter of Sarah (Tina O’Brien). And it’s fair to say Bethany has been involved in several big storylines.
From a bullying ordeal to having botched surgery abroad, her time in Weatherfield has not been short of drama. Recently, she made her cobbles comeback, after initially leaving the street for a job in London.
Away from the soap though, Lucy is smitten with footballer Ryan Ledson. The couple made their relationship public in June 2021 after reportedly meeting on celeb dating app Raya.
Going from strength to strength, they later welcomed their son Sonny into the world in February 2023. Their second child, a baby girl named Nancy, arrived in January.
Fast forward to November last year and Ryan popped the question during Lucy’s 30th birthday celebrations. Lucy confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing a series of photos showcasing her sparkling engagement ring.
But recently, Lucy had fans rallying round after she took to her Instagram and shared a heartwarming family update. On Sunday (January 11) the soap star uploaded photos from daughter Nancy’s first birthday.
In one snap, Lucy and Ryan could be seen posing with their adorable daughter while other photos showed a delicious cake as well as Nancy playing with a balloon. Lucy captioned the post: “A perfect birthday for a perfect gworl.”
Lucy also shared another Instagram post paying tribute to Nancy on her birthday. Alongside professional photos of the tot, Lucy wrote: “1 today. Happy 1st birthday to the girl we dreamed of. You are pure magic my girl. We all love you so much. Happy birthday.”
Her soap co-stars were left swooning over the post and rushed to the comments section. Lisa Swain actress Vicky Myers said: “Happy 1st Birthday, beautiful Nancy! Have a magical day, all of you xxx.”
Helen Flanagan, who played Rosie Webster, proclaimed: “Happy birthday beautiful Nancy your twin.” Daisy Midgeley star Charlotte Jordan also penned: “Nancyyyyy drewwww she looks just like her mama xxxx.”
