27 years after leaving the soap, a Coronation Street icon who left the cobbles in 1998 looks extraordinary in a brand-new way.
A Coronation Street legend looks out of this world in a brand new snap 27 years after leaving the soap. Chloe Newsome, who was best known for being the second actress to play Vicky McDonald, was on the long-running soap for seven years before leaving the cobbles in 1998.
She steered clear of the spotlight after her departure and only showed up for small roles in 2005’s The Jealous God and 2011’s Lost Christmas. In 1998, the same year she left the show, she also appeared in police procedural series, The Bill, as Jacky Marsh and The Life and Crimes of William Palmer as Eliza Tharm.

She reprised her role in Corrie as Vicky and became the show’s daughter as Alec Gilroy. Steve McDonald’s first wife, Vicky, and he fell in love with him.
She was raised by her parents, Alex and Bet, and when she turned 18 she inherited a quarter of a million pounds. However, her husband misplaced her money and left it all on stolen whiskey, causing a marriage avers.
She called Bet to request a loan shortly after she left the show, and it was reported that she moved to Brighton to open her own wine bar. However, due to financial difficulties, she called the host to ask for a loan.
Vicky was mentioned in 2002 when it became clear that she was happily married to a man named Martin. The Vicky actress looked content as she posed for a photo while holding a roller blade in her shoulder in a recent photo.
In a pink skirt and a striped top with a leopard-print cardigan, she looked out of place. She added a layer of fluffy gilet to keep her warm.
Chloe has appeared in Twelfth Night, Othello, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but primarily concentrates on stage work over the past ten years.
Meanwhile, her on screen husband Steve (played by Simon Gregson) is currently in one of the lowest points of his life after his wife Michelle Connor (Paula Lane) learned he’s fathered a baby with her pal Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson)
Simon has been Steve on the program since 1989, but he took a vacation in 2015 for “personal reasons.” One year later, he quickly returned and hasn’t stopped there.
Corrie star Simon recently sparked concern over his marriage after seemingly ditching his wedding ring. The actor has been married to wife Emma for 14 years.
Simon fuelled split rumours earlier this year when a tax report regarding his finances said the star and his “estranged” wife, had three years to pay back debt from their production company’s account.
And he’s now got his tongues wagging once more after running errands without his wedding band after being spotted without Emma’s last month.
