Coronation Street fans who believe they have created a devastating twist could experience heartache on the way.

Daisy Midgeley and David Platt were forced to fight for their lives in a tragic accident on Wednesday night. Daisy and David were run over and seriously hurt in a hit-and-run, which shocked Weatherfield residents.

On Monday, David and his former inmate Andy were uncovered by the public that the hit and run was planned. David vowed to die in order to save Harvey Gaskell from his and his family. Despite David’s efforts to remove her from the road, Daisy was caught in the crossfire and hit by the car.

Daisy and David were both taken to the hospital with their loved ones by their sides as the episode progressed. David especially struggled, and by the end of the episode on Wednesday, he was still in a coma.

Daisy and her unborn child, who had their partner Daniel Osbourne sharing some news, were also concerned. Daisy had to have her injured arm repaired, and upon arrival at the hospital, she was given the impression that everything appeared to be alright.

Coronation Street (ITV) viewers might experience heartache along the way.

However, a nurse informed Daniel that Daisy had been bleeding and that she had a chance of losing her baby after the procedure. They believe Daisy has an abruption in her placenta, sort of like a bruise, according to him, telling Daisy’s stepmother Jenny Connor.

Between the uterus and the placenta, she has been bleeding. They are unsure of their complete innocence, but they believe she may have miscarried. They won’t know for certain until tomorrow’s second ultrasound.

Viewers won’t know more about Daisy and David’s health until the Friday episode, or whether Daisy’s baby has sadly passed away. Fans are concerned about the worst after the horrifying crash, especially since Daisy will soon leave the ITV soap.

One fan wrote on social media that she “knows that Charlotte Jordan (Daisy) will probably lose her baby.” Another added, “I bet Daisy loses the baby when she is run over, and that’s how she leaves the street.”

Another line of inquiry read, “My #Corrie prediction: David doesn’t die, Daisy doesn’t die, but her baby does and it comes out that she kept quiet about the father’s death,” she decides she can’t stay and leaves Jenny to sort out the mess, especially the money owed to Carla.

On ITV1 and ITV X, Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8 p.m. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on Threads, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok.
