After 19 years on the cobbles, Coronation Street fans fear Carla Connor will be killed because Becky’s return puts Alison King’s character in danger.
Coronation Street fans are fretting over the potential heart-breaking exit of Carla Connor, played by Alison King, who has been a regular on the ITV soap for many years.
Making her first appearance in December 2006 as the wife of Paul Connor who had just bought the factory, she’s become a much loved star on Corrie.
And during her time on the cobbles, she was at the center of some incredibly grim stories. Her time in Weatherfield has not been without its share of drama, from her battle with psychosis to her recent romantic entanglement and engagement to Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

Following the unexpected return of Lisa’s allegedly dead wife Becky (Amy Cudden), who is thought to have been killed in action in 2021, Carla’s life has taken a dramatic turn in recent weeks.
However, it became clear that Becky was alive and under witness protection after a covert operation involved Lisa’s boss, DI Costello (Daon Broni), allegedly orchestrating her death, according to the Daily Star.
Becky has been obsessed with regaining control of her family and causing a wedge between Lisa and Carla since her return.
And last week, Becky was successful when a furious Carla stormed their home, outraged that Lisa couldn’t pardon Becky’s lies.
It’s finally revealed in tonight’s episode (3rd December) that Becky was responsible for Costello’s recent assault, which resulted in his hospitalization.
However, Carla and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) team up to take Becky down, much to the annoyance of Becky, and is determined to end her relationship.
Fans are now however persuaded that Carla might regret crossing Becky. In fact, they’re making a theory known that Carla might leave the ITV soap after 19 years.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one user posted: “Hope it doesn’t backfire on Carla trying to take Becky on… Is Carla’s exit looming?” Another speculated: “I think Becky will kill her and then get sent to prison.”
A third chimed in, “Nooo, I couldn’t bear if they shot Carla off.”
