Russell Kane is best known for his stand-up comedy career, which began in 2004 and went on to earn various awards for his output.

Stand-up comic Russell Kane has hit back at claims that ‘woke culture’ is impacting comedy, saying that he doesn’t know a single comedian who has been “cancelled” over their act. The 50-year-old told The Mirror that comedians who are willing to “offend a minority group” are proving to be successful these days.

“I don’t know a comedian who’s been cancelled for doing comedy,” he said. “If only I was brave enough to say some slightly more outrageous and hurtful things, I’d probably be number one on Netflix.

Although it’s not my style of comedy, my point is that I believe there is now more speech freedom than there was.

Considering Saudi Arabia’s poor human rights record, it comes after a number of comedians, including Jimmy Carr and Jack Whitehall, were criticized for performing at the Riadh Comedy Festival.

Russell remarked about the “cancellation” of those acts, saying, “That wasn’t for the comedy, that was for where they went to do comedy.” I don’t know anyone who has been fired for a joke, but a comedian might be because of something he’s touched or because he’s done something to someone.

As for ‘woke culture’, he added: “It’s such a weird word because the opposite of woke is asleep. I don’t want to be asleep.

“I’m not woke, I’m not f**king ignorant, just because I acknowledge that a person of color has had a different life journey to me.” It is ignorance.

The comedian is teaming up with This Morning ’s Sian Welby to host ITV ’s The Spin Off – a new free-to-play quiz app that gives players the chance to win various prizes.

The secret quizzer, who has previously won The Weakest Link, Beat the Chasers, and Celebrity Mastermind, is in for a winner. I train like a boxer because of how energetic stand-up is. I reached age 35 and wondered, “How can I slow down aging?”

“I follow a 60-minute routine while playing quizzes. The Chase or The 1% Club will do, I think. I’m putting on a renaissance-style renaissance man’s mind and body.

He continued, “It’s my dream to become a Chaser,” much like Joe Pasquale did recently on Beat the Chasers.” He said, “I’d like to get to the point where I could become a Chaser.”

Due to my acting goals, I’m currently learning how to speak Shakespearean verse effectively. I want to do something entirely different with my life the following year when my tour ends, which is the longest I’ve ever done. I’m going to thesp it, stage-wise.

Russell, who turned 50 earlier this year, adheres to the “five pillars of wellness” that include: avoiding processed foods, working out, reducing stress, strengthening relationships, and taking evidence-based supplements.

The comic doesn’t shy away from people who “drain” his energy. Many of us hang out with drains because we’ve known them for years, and we feel bad about it. But it’s time to say “bye t**t” and remove the toxicity from your life.

Despite having a small group of friends and family members due to his demanding career, Russell, who shares daughter Mina, 10, with his wife Lindsey Cole, an entrepreneur, and admitted to doing so.

He said, “People tend to cut me off because I work so hard.” Although I have kept my close friends at home, my mother, my wife, and my daughter, I have a lot of celebrity friends.

“That probably prevents me from entering the show business. I’m not giving up on going to clubs where the right people are, but I’m. Because I work so hard, I am so unavailable; any extra time I have is spent on my daughter, my wife, my mother, my brother, who is not doing well, and then the rest of my friends.
