After making Colson Smith his best man, Coronation Street star Jack P Shephard wed his fiancee Hanni in a stunning ceremony in Manchester this weekend.
Jack P Shepherd’s former Coronation Street co-star Colson Smith found himself in an awkward mistake as he celebrated his wedding. The David Platt actor, 37, married his fiancee Hanni Treweek on Saturday in a stunning ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
They wed at Manchester Cathedral in front of their friends, family and Jack’s Corrie co-stars. Jack and Hanni then headed over to a swanky hotel in the city were the party continued into the evening.
However, Colson’s subsequent social media posts suggest that the partying may have been too much. The former Craig Tinker star was a part of Jack’s wedding groomsmen, which was a very special role.
As Jack recited his vows and wed, he was by his side. As they soaked up the moment together, Jack and Colson posed for photos just before the ceremony.
Colson has since shared the snap on his Instagram, but his caption caught the attention of his fans. The Celebrity Big Brother star wrote: “26/8/2025 The Shepherd Wedding.”
However, many quickly realized Colson had missed the date by a month. Colson shared a blank screen with the awkward moment, which appeared to be an attempt to quickly correct the error, adding: “Or 26/7/2025,” followed by an emoji that read “Or 26/7/2025.”
Colson’s error prevented Jack and Hanni from having the most memorable day of their lives despite it. For their reception, they hired out the upscale Hallé St. Peter’s in the city, where even more of their friends and family gathered.
Lucy Fallon, Tina O’Brien, and Julia Golding were just a few of the guests. Helen Worth, Jack’s mother, appeared in a picture of happiness as she led her husband toward the set.
After revealing that they had taken dance lessons to get ready for their big day, Jack and Hanni performed their first dance, which was undoubtedly successful. Before their guests joined them to dance the night away while playing a live band, the newlyweds showed off their goods on the dancefloor.
Bride Hanni posted a message on her social media account as a wife for the first time on Sunday. She gushed, “Introducing Mr &, Mrs Shepherd,” in a series of romantic snaps from the day.
“Words cannot describe how beautiful yesterday was for us – it was more than perfect the love & energy in the room (and outside) was incredible – our hearts our truly full thank you so much to you all – it means the world to us.
“Love is all you need,” said the team’s leader, “a team we couldn’t be happier with,” and we are awestruck by how talented you all are.
