Following the forced rescheduling of their 10-show run at Wembley Stadium due to strikes on the London Underground, Coldplay has insisted they are “very sorry.”
The Fix You stars, led by Chris Martin, claimed that the strikes, which will see rail, maritime, and transportation (RMT) union members on the Tube take action on the Tube for seven days starting on September 5, had prevented the gigs from going ahead on September 7 and 8.
We’re sorry to inform you that we have been forced to reschedule our final two concerts of the current Wembley Stadium run due to planned industrial action on the London Underground.

It’s impossible to transport 82, 000 people to the concert and home safely without a Tube service, so no event permits can be issued for the nights of September 7 and 8.
Our only option is to reschedule, according to the statement.
The band made it clear that the show would move from September 7 to September 6 and that it would resume on September 8 only.
The band continued, “We’re very sorry for the unavoidable disappointment, frustration, and inconvenience that this situation brings.”
Tickets for Coldplay’s rescheduled concert will still be valid as of the date of purchase, but fans who can’t make it to the show can receive a full refund from the seller as of September 2 at noon.
Tickets that have been returned will go on general sale starting at 11am on September 3.
The band confirmed that September 3rd, September 3rd, and September 4 would go as planned.
The first group to play 10 dates at the national football stadium in the same year during the Wembley run will become Coldplay’s first, surpassing Taylor Swift’s eight previous total of 8.
They have performed songs like Paradise, Trouble, and We Pray at the concerts that are part of the band’s Music of the Spheres world tour so far.
The Music Venue Trust will donate 10% of the band’s proceeds from the Wembley performances to support upcoming artists and grassroots UK venues.
Additionally, there is no use of generators for the Wembley shows.
Higher Power Farm, the band’s new renewable energy and ecosystem restoration project, serves the west of England by supplying solar energy into the grid.
Since its founding in the late 1990s, Coldplay has since achieved 10 UK singles and two albums. They are best known for Viva La Vida, Clocks, and Yellow.
