The Music of the Spheres world tour is currently underway, and singer Chris Martin reacted to video from a ” kiss cam” at a recent performance.
Footage of two people at a Coldplay concert in the US has gone viral this week after they were featured on a ‘kiss cam’. They seemed to be camera shy whilst on screen together and Chris Martin even poked fun at the pair’s reaction.
The video is said to have been filmed at the Gillette Stadium in Boston, with singer Chris, 48, and his bandmates having performed at the venue on Tuesday and then last night. The gigs are part of their ongoing Music of the Spheres world tour, which will be heading to the UK later this year.
The camera pans to two people on a balcony after showing other audience members at one of the shows. Chris addressed the pair, who appeared to be holding hands while swaying to the music. “Oh look at these two”!
In the video that was posted on social media today, they quickly reacted to being shown on a screen at the venue. One of them ducked down out of the view of the camera while the other quickly covered their faces before turning their heads to the camera.
Chris responded, “Alright. Please, you are all right. Then, after he appeared, he made fun of their reactions by saying, “Oh what? ” They may be having an affair or just be very shy. He begins to say, “I’m not quite sure,” as the video ends.
After being initially seen snuggled up together, the pair hid from the camera and began laughing. Later, when Chris made fun of the situation during the concert, fans later started to show up cheering and even whistling.
The footage was shared through a TikTok account earlier today. It has since amassed more than 17 million views on the platform alone, whilst a post including the same video that has been circulating on X has 7.5 million views.
Andy Byron, the company’s CEO, and Kristin Cabot, its chief executive, have been identified as the pair. Cabot has been in charge of the organization for nine months, and Byron praised her “exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management” when she was appointed in November.
She is a trusted leader at a number of growth-stage businesses, he continued, “She makes a perfect fit for Astronomer because of her passion for creating diverse, collaborative workplaces.” She claimed in a statement that her own energy was “energised by my conversations with Andy and the Astronomer leadership team about the opportunities that are available here.”
She continued, “I like to think of my role as people strategy as opposed to traditional human resources because the real magic happens when the people strategy and the business strategy are aligned.”
Chris is touring with his bandmates Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion at the moment. Coldplay embarked on the world tour in 2022 and it’s due to come to an end at Wembley Stadium in London in September.
They are however next scheduled to perform at venues in Madison, Nashville and Miami as they conclude the final North American leg of the three-year tour. Coldplay will then head to Craven Park in Hull before their gigs in London.
Elyanna and Ayra Starr provided support for the band at one of their earlier performances in Boston. Later this year, they will have additional special guests playing at their summer concerts in the UK, including Tems and Beabadoobee.
