Claudia’s Friday night The Traitors knit is one of her most affordable looks yet
What did we ever do on a cold, bleak January day without The Traitors? We’re delighted the show is back, and even more delighted we’re back seeing Claudia Winkleman’s Scottish Highlands style. Though many of her looks are often a little out of our price bracket, tonight, for the Friday 9th show, the presenter is wearing something that’s in all of our budgets: an on-sale £40 knit from a high street store.
The exact buy is COS’ Striped Brushed Mohair Crew Neck Jumper, which usually retails for £110 but is on sale for £40. However, within minutes of the jumper details dropping, it sold out. It’s hardly surprising, considering The Traitors fans have a habit of tracking down Claude’s best pieces pretty quickly. However, if you love the look and want to bag a similar buy, check out M&S’s Alpaca Blend Striped Textured Relaxed Jumper for £55, which is similar in stripe pattern and premium fabric, or AllSaints’ Onyx Jumper, slightly more expensive at £170 but a great colour match.
If you did manage to score this bargain knit, you’ll be getting plenty of bang for your buck when it comes to quality. A classic crew neck at heart, it’s been given a bit more personality with soft stripes, a brushed finish and a relaxed shape that drapes rather than clings. The dropped shoulders and rounded sleeves give it that cosy, thrown-on feel, while the mohair and merino blend makes it properly soft without feeling heavy.
Since the knit already has an oversized cut, you shouldn’t need to size up too much, unless you like to be draped in fabric. Considering how cold this week has been, a cosy mohair jumper is a smart investment for the month.

We got an early heads up on tonight’s look thanks to Claudia’s social media, where she posted a teaser snap of her look to the appreciation of her legions of fans.
“The best shoes on earth. We’re on tonight at 8pm,” she captions the carousel of snaps, where she can be seen wearing the COS burgundy stripe jumper.
The rest of Claudia’s outfit is equally as noteworthy, but in particular, her shoes. She styles a pair of monochrome brogues. that have been specially altered to read ‘Faithful’ and ‘Traitor’ on each toe, with a pair of oversized black trousers. With her glossy hair tied up into a high, sleek ponytail, the overall look is androgynous and very cool.
