Clarkson’s Farm fans have become convinced the Jeremy Clarkson show will come to an end after the upcoming fifth season, with a potential spin-off show on the cards
Viewers of Clarkson’s Farm reckon the fifth series will mark its finale, with supporters spotting several clues the programme is drawing to a close. The Jeremy Clarkson-led show has rapidly become a beloved hit amongst Amazon Prime subscribers, though it appears the series is now approaching its conclusion. Supporters flocked to the r/ClarksonsFarm Reddit forum and voiced their opinions on what might be the programme’s ending.
A message on the platform states: “Looks like this upcoming season five will be the last for Clarkson’s Farm,” revealing news that a spin-off series featuring cast members from Clarkson’s Farm could be under development. Whether the programme truly ends remains unconfirmed, but some supporters are preparing themselves for the finale – whilst others welcome the prospect of a spin-off series.
Hopes of a new series were shared by fans, while others are bracing themselves for the end of one of Amazon Prime’s biggest shows. One supporter commented: “It’s been looking that way for a bit now. Jeremy Clarkson talked a lot about this with S4 starting, that it was time for a break after S5.”
Another concurred, stating: “He also said it’s not necessarily the ‘end’ of the series, just that the whole crew needs a break after season five, if I remember correctly.”
Speaking to The Sun, Kaleb hinted at a possible programme of his own, remarking: “Hopefully one day. Who knows.”
Whilst supporters were thrilled by this prospect, they did contemplate wanting a series with Charlie Ireland as the main focus. One fan wrote: “Would prefer a Charlie spinoff to a Kaleb spinoff, but I’ll take it.”
Another added: “I always thought a Charlie spinoff where he goes and sorts out farms could be good. Like Gordon Ramsay kitchen nightmares but probably with less shouting/swearing.”
Clarkson did confirm he was keen on creating a sixth series of the programme, though it would need to be a “bl***y good” storyline to reunite the team, particularly when they’re desperately needing some time off.
He explained: “I’d do a sixth if there was a reason for doing it, like a bl***y good story… Whatever happens we’ll definitely take a short break as the crews are all worn out. We’ve been filming here two or three days a week, every week, for five years. Everybody could do with a rest.”
Supporters believe Clarkson has recognised the crew require some downtime, and it appears Clarkson’s Farm will enter a period of rest following its fifth series.
One viewer suggested: “They have been going for 7 years straight or something like that of working odd and random hours. This obviously messes with their family lives and other jobs they have lined up.
“It seems Jeremy has noticed this and has decided to give the show a break for a year so that the crew get a bit of a break of filming at odd and random hours.
“Also, the show has reached a point where not much is going to change year to year anymore so filming every 2nd year gives enough time for things to change a bit so that each season doesn’t just end up being mostly the same as the previous one.”
Another viewer suggested that the programme was running out of fresh ideas as it moved into its fifth series. They penned: “On the more realistic issues side I think next series will revolve around the incredibly dry summer we’ve had in a fair amount of the UK and the impact that has had on crops.
“It’ll be interesting as it’s the exact opposite to the series just gone which was an incredibly wet year. As for the fun quirky side I’m not really sure.
