Kate Moss and Gemma Collins are also reported to be playing the role of a bridesmaid at DJ Fat Tony and Stavros Agapiou’s wedding, with Claire Sweeney also rumored to be doing it.
As she joined a legendary DJ’s wedding celebrations, Claire Sweeney was stunning and ready to party. The 54-year-old soap icon, who is better known as DJ Fat Tony, 58, was one of the guests at Tony Marnach’s nuptials.
The music enthusiast’s wedding to his 32-year-old fiancé Stavros Agapiou was scheduled for Saturday and the couple had planned to exchange vows in front of a variety of celebrities. Prior to the ceremony, Claire took to social media to share a sneak peek at the glamorous outfit she had chosen for the happy occasion.
Taking to Instagram Stories, the Brookside star posed in a dress by Eliza Jane Howell Evening Wear. The gown shimmered with sequins and included a floral design.
As she prepared to cheer on the boys, the singer and actress adorned a glittering gold shawl with dramatic feathered fringe. The actress wrote, “Ready for the wedding of the year @dj_fattony_ @stavrosagapiou” while poking with her 13-year-old son Jaxon, who she shares with her ex-boyfriend Daniel Reilly.
Claire was to be in good company as stars from the world of fashion, music and reality shows gathered together for the ceremony. A list icon Kate Moss and former The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins were tipped to be taking on roles of bridesmaid at the wedding, while other reports have suggested Claire too could be taking part in the ceremony as a bridesmaid.
The Daily Mail claimed: “The event is said to be taking place at a church in West London, with the likes of David and Victoria Beckham and David Furnish mingling alongside Alison Hammond and Jedward, while Tony previously revealed that he wanted Boy George as his best man.”
And a source told The Sun that Tony is one of the most well-known celebrities in London, and his wedding is going to be packed with stars.
However, this year, no one had Kate, Gemma, and Claire playing in a bridal party on their bingo cards. It will be incredible to see them converge.
They continued, “Tony and Stavros have given a lot of thought to their big day, and it’s going to be one to remember.” It’s iconic because Kylie sings at their evening performance.
Boy George, 63, the music star’s real name George Alan O’Dowd, was scheduled to be the day’s best man. Tony had expressed his happiness discovering his true love before the wedding.
The DJ posted a message on Instagram saying, “Love Wins,” along with the date’s names Tony and Stavros. Here we are at the beginning, he captioned it. The most joyful time of my life.
Daisy Lowe was among those cheering on the couple in the comments section. She wrote in reaction: “Biggest congratulations and love to you both.”
Tony has previously discussed the church where he wanted to marry, with a location in Earls Court being chosen as the wedding venue. The structure is renowned for honoring those who passed away in the 1980s and 1990s from HIV and AIDS.
In his words, “This church was the only place that cared about our community,” he said in 2023. Because it brings me full circle, I want to marry there. Everyone who didn’t make it to that point should enjoy it.
