On March 7 at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground, England will take on Iceland in a Women’s World Cup qualifier.
The 2027 tournament, which is taking place in Brazil, is the team’s first home qualifier.
On March 3rd, the Lionesses will take on Ukraine in their first qualifying match at a location that has yet to be determined.
We are eager to start the process over and over again. As we approach the World Cup, Iceland are a well-organized, competitive side, so this will be a great test for us.
Along with Iceland, Ukraine, and Spain, England is in Group A3. The group’s winner will automatically be in the running for the World Cup, while the teams in second and third place will compete in the play-offs.
The Lionesses will compete to be ranked in order to be qualified, then advance one step further than the 2023 contest, in which case they reached the final and lost to Spain 1-0.
