Christine Quinn admits split from ex-husband ‘stripped her from entire life’

Christine Quinn, the star of the television series Sunset, has a revealing insight into how her divorce from Christian Dumontet affected her life in a far-fetched manner.
Christine Quinn burst into tears as she opened up about her divorce from Christian Dumontet. The Selling Sunset star and Chris met through a mutual friend in 2019 before becoming engaged on Valentine’s Day in the same year. Flash forward to December and they went on to tie the knot before welcoming their son, Christian, in May 2021.
While appearing on the Netflix hit, Christine and Christian hosted a gothic themed winter wedding with 75 people attending. During the filming, he went by the name Christian Richard for “privacy”. Just five years Later, the couple went on to divorce.
After Christian was detained in connection with an alleged incident at their Los Angeles home in March of last year, the model made the decision to divorce. Additionally, he is said to have violated a protective order that was in place. As she openly discussed the breakdown of her marriage, Christine, 36, claims she felt “stripped from her entire life overnight.”
The blonde bombshell admitted in a new interview that her life had been “hacked” just in front of her, and became emotional as she did so. Christine said, “My entire life was suddenly taken away.” She continued, “I literally had nothing and it was dehumanizing.”
In a conversation with People, Christine continued, “This is something that has been hidden for a very long time, it was extremely unhealthy, and I like to think that I’m extremely resilient, and I am. I made a vow, which I genuinely didn’t want to break. It made me realize that this is the right course of action, in fact, it did. Then it turned into a safety issue. My son and I were first safe, and then it was safe. And I had to leave immediately.
The Los Angeles city attorney claimed Dumontet had been accused of assaulting a protection order, child abuse/endangerment, and other crimes against children. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, it came after Quinn’s arrest was allegedly the subject of a “domestic dispute” between them and their child.
Few weeks later, Dumontet and Quinn divorced. He at the time sought sole legal and physical custody of their son citing “irreconcilable differences” in the separation. According to court records, Dumontet and Quinn reportedly wed in June 2021.
In a statement to Mirror, Quinn’s attorney Jacqueline Sparagna previously told how they are “extremely satisfied with the decision”. They noted they believe it is a “crucial step toward” protecting both Christine and baby Christian. The statement read: “We are extremely satisfied with the decision of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office to file three separate charges against Mr. Dumontet. He has now been formally charged with child abuse against his 2-year-old toddler, assault against Christine Quinn, and for violating a restraining order.
We think that this development is crucial to protecting both victims’ legal rights and those of their loved ones, and we are confident that the dispute will continue to be handled with the utmost care. A court in Los Angeles granted Richard, who is also known as Christian, a mental health diversion in his case in October of last year.
He was given the opportunity to go through community service and receive compensation, and he was also given the option to go to therapy for a year. His case might be dropped if he receives positive feedback throughout his therapy and community service. Christine read a “victim impact statement” during the hearing in October, expressing her desire for the denial of Richard’s mental health diversion.
He was told to avoid Christine under this temporary restraining order.
