Before the Lionesses won the Euros, British actress Chloe Kelly provided a lone glimpse into her marriage and private life with her husband Scott Moore.
England forward Chloe Kelly made headlines during the Women’s Euros 2025 – not just for her on-pitch performance, but for a touching personal moment that offered fans a rare glimpse into her private life.
As she prepared to come off the bench during a tournament match, cameras captured Chloe, 27, revealing custom shin pads featuring a photo from her wedding day. The romantic detail thrust her husband, Scott Moore, into the spotlight despite his typically low profile and desire to keep out of the public eye.
Chloe and her husband Scott first met when she was playing for Everton and he was working as a groundsman. The pair connected after Kelly held a door open for him. “He went on to message her on Instagram,” the couple previously shared.
Although their first date was not particularly glamorous, Chloe’s was her most memorable first date ever. As she reflected on their early years of romance, Kelly previously revealed that “we got a little monkey and every time I see it, it reminds me of when we went to IKEA.”
In December of this year, the couple took a trip to Finnish Lapland, where they got engaged. Moore proposed while taking a private Husky ride beneath the Northern Lights. The answer was “the easiest yes ever,” Kelly wrote in a later Instagram post.
The pair wed at Merrydale Manor in Cheshire in a ceremony in July 2024. Kelly wore a custom gown from Galia Lahav’s Elysee line, which was referred to as a “form-fitting lace design with a dramatic train.”
Chloe’s dress was a labor of love, with its vibrant spirit and timeless beauty, according to designer Sharon Sever. A matching veil and Jimmy Choo heels completed her look.
Kelly acknowledged that she hadn’t yet planned ahead because their first anniversary coincided with the Euros. Before the tournament, she said, “I haven’t even got a card, to be honest. “I’m certain that I’ll think of something and ask my mother to sort it out at the moment.”
She continued, “We are just taking it each game as it comes, and we have a huge game coming up, and we know that we need to be at our best for that, so avoid looking too far ahead.” Scott certainly has, but I’m not sure.
Before Kelly and Moore took a brief break from working for England, they also took a short vacation with their partner, teammate Gabby George, who is Jesse Lingard’s cousin.
Before a packed summer of football in Switzerland, the two couples enjoyed a final moment of relaxation.
Chloe is currently celebrating the Lionesses huge win at the Euros over the weekend. And for Sarina Wiegman, it is a third successive European title, having won with England in 2021 and Netherlands in 2017.
For her players, it is a second straight success, and a revenge mission accomplished against world champs Spain.
After collecting their medals, the players entered the stadium in Basel and celebrated into the night with pizza and beers before heading back to the pitch in Switzerland to begin the celebration.
Lucy Bronze revealed she’d been playing through the tournament with a broken leg – but that wouldn’t be stopping her from enjoying their success.
Head coach Wiegman promised to do more dancing. I’ll have a drink, but I don’t believe I’ll feel as guilty as the players do.
