Father of three Chesney said, “Do you know what, I go to a lot of these,” he said in an exclusive interview with the Mirror. We all get to attend award ceremonies all year to celebrate some of the things we do in the business and don fancy velvet jackets and other such things, which is amazing. But this isn’t just something entirely new, is it not?
“What I love about this is that it’s the unsung heroes up and down the country that have just done something beautiful, you know, and that kind of beautiful human spirit. I’ve been to quite a few of these, and I would not miss it for the world if I could help it. I’m always so so happy to be here to support.”
Celebrities from all different glamorous disciplines showed up in all their finery for the 26th year of the annual awards ceremony, which was hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo. The real stars, however, are the unsung heroes, whose extraordinary accomplishments continue to inspire year after year.
This year’s winners include campaigners, fundraisers, kids who have overcome incredible odds, and everyday heroes who have taken their own lives to save others.
Jess Phillips, who also expressed her love for the ceremony at the drinks reception, said: “It’s always nice to feel upbeat.” Most of the time, the country’s output leaves people feeling a little depressed. therefore, celebrating is always a good idea. If I didn’t believe the world would change, I wouldn’t continue to work in politics. Actually, the world can change on both a micro and macro level in situations like this.
