Cher, 78, looks sensational as she sings in daring see-through bodysuit after teasing retirement

Iconic singer Cher turned back time as she performed her greatest hits in front of a star-studded audience.

The music icon, 78, looked sensational as she wore a see-through bodysuit while on stage at SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert. She joined a dazzling lineup of celebrities who packed into Radio City Music Hall in New York to mark 50 years of Saturday Night Live. Her performance will be televised, yet fans have already been able to get a glimpse at her show.

Cher rocked a black fishnet outfit that showed off her figure while she belted out her 1989 classic If I Could Turn Back Time. Her jaw-dropping outfit featured many sheer cutouts that sculpted her age-defying physique. She performed at the event alongside the likes of Miley Cyrus, Bad Bunny, The Roots, Arcade Fire, Backstreet Boys, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Chris Martin, David Byrne and Lady Gaga.

The televised show is set to last three hours with Saturday Night Live star Jimmy Fallon compering the event. Before her performance, Cher was spotted arriving in a stylish ensemble including a monochrome puffer jacket. Last year, Cher announced she would be ‘stepping back from music’ after an incredible career spanning six decades.

In November, the Believe singer confirmed her next album was likely to be her last. Speaking to a crowd at the Lyceum Theatre in London, she said it was time for her to leave her career behind. She admitted she is excited to release her new “great” songs, marking the first album since 2013. However, Cher added: “I’m older than dirt now, OK? I’m the oldest person I meet in almost every room unless I’m in an old folks’ home.”

Cher is currently dating rapper Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, 38, 40 years her junior. The couple turned heads when they stepped out hand in hand together in November 2022, and still appear to be going strong. Despite criticism from some over the age gap, it doesn’t phase the superstar. Addressing the age gap on social media, Cher quipped: “Love doesn’t know math.” Alexander previously dated Kanye West’s ex, Amber Rose, and the two share a son together.

Amber recently commented on Cher and AE’s relationship, as well as the singer’s relationship with her son. “I’m very happy that [Alexander is] with Cher because it creates stability for when [our] son goes over there,” she admitted as she added that it’s not chaotic at Cher’s place. Cher had a tumultuous marriage with Sonny Bono which lasted from 1964 to 1975.

The couple starred in the show The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, as Cher revealed the show was part of the reason behind their lengthy marriage. “Doing the show kept us together, because on the show, we had so much fun,” she said on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “We were equal, you know? We loved it. We worked so well together. We had so much fun, and it really kept us closer longer than I really wanted.”
