Former Ex On the Beach star Charlotte Dawson has issued a lengthy statement following her surprise split from fiance Matt Sarsfield, admitting to her fans that it was ‘time’
Reality star Charlotte Dawson has revealed that she is ‘‘stepping away’ indefinitely from her hit podcast Naughty Corner, which she launched last year, after her alleged split from fiancé Matt Sarsfield. The shock split came after a rollercoaster few weeks for the 33-year-old mum-of-three, which saw her reportedly break up with her other half following a furious row at a party – then do a U-turn and get back together with him, just days later.
In a statement, the former Ex On the Beach star, daughter of late comedian Les Dawson, revealed that it was the “right time” to take a step back from the no-holds-barred weekly parenting pod, in which she would often reveal hilarious and candid updates on family life.

She wrote in a lengthy statement on Instagram: “After an incredible year and more than a million downloads, we’ve decided it’s time to pause the podcast for now.
“With life being especially busy at the moment (kids, chaos and everything in between) this feels like the right moment to take a breather.”
She added: “Naughty corner has been a place where I’ve shared my life and parenting journey, and it’s also been a place where your stories, whether beautiful, bonkers or everything in between, have lifted me up.
“A huge thanks to my partner in crime Janine for being by my side every step of the way and to all the fab guests that have joined me this year! Thank you for being here and for supporting the pod my darlings. CD x”
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Charlotte and her partner had split up after an explosive argument during a glam night out – but the pair made up a matter of days later.
A source claimed to the Sun at the time that Charlotte was “apprehensive” about walking down the aisle with Matt, given the ups and downs of their five-year engagement so far – though, they went on to claim, they always ‘kiss and make up’.
The recent ‘split’ was actually the second time the couple, who have been together for nine years, decided to part ways. Last August, they separated temporarily after Charlotte found messages to other women on rugby star Matt’s phone.
At the time, a clearly devastated Charlotte admitted to her social media followers, “My head feels like it is going to fall off. I feel drained, fed up, up and down like a bloody yo-yo but yeah.”
But the pair managed to get back on track and in June of this year, the 32-year-old influencer opened up to the Mirror about when she might eventually tie the knot.
“Maybe when it gets a bit easier with the kids. I’d love Gigi to walk down the aisle in a little dress, so I think I might have to wait. I’m gonna have to anyway. I can’t start planning a wedding now – Jesus, I can’t even sort my own life out!”
