Channel 4 has criticized Donald Trump for promising to expose his “untruths.” The network announced in a string of sluggish social media posts that it would air special coverage of his state visit to the UK.
Prince William and Princess Kate met with the 79-year-old president at Windsor Castle, where the monarch and president “watched the sword,” before he was shown archives from the royal collection, where he spent just five minutes before returning to the palace.
The businessman and reality star has faced criticism for some of his outspoken opinions since he was first elected president in January 2020. Channel 4 is currently threatening to expose the “untruths” that Donald Trump has made while he is in the UK. Trump has previously criticized the media for publishing what he claims to be “fake news.”
The message read, “TONIGHT ON THE FAILING CHANNEL 4 (EVEN WORSE THAN ITV) THEY ARE SHOWING MORE THAN 100 “UNTRUTHS” TOLD BY YOUR FAVORITE PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP. THE MSM IS FAKE NEWS, AND DONALD J. TRUMP IS ATTACKED FOR YOUR FAVORITE PRESIDENT! AT 10 PM, DON’T WATCH! “!
While another added that “CHANNEL 4 SO BAD IT COULD NOT BE NAMED CHANNEL 1 ARE SHOWING OVER 100 UNTRUTHS THAT YOUR FAVORITE PRESIDENT (NOBEL PEACE PRIZE DESERVERING DONALD J TRUMP) AT 10 PM TONIGHT HAVE TOLD (FALSELY) HAVE BEEN TOLD DURING (FALSE). DONALD J. TRUMP WAS HANDSOME AND RIGHT 100 TIMES? NO”.

“Donald J. Trump enjoys making history,” said Channel 4’s chief content officer, Ian Katz. Therefore, on Wednesday, Channel 4 will do exactly that: it will air what we believe to be the longest uninterrupted reel of distortions, lies, and lies ever to air on television.
We hope it will serve as a reminder of how perplexing and dangerous the world becomes when the most powerful person on earth ignores the truth. And if President Trump wants to observe the state banquet, he might even dispel some myths.
The president will appear on Trump V The Truth, which will feature 100 distortions, lies, and errors that he made while in office.
The impersonator will serve as the show’s continuity announcer throughout the day, handing out false program synopses and exaggerated running times, while the show will feature untrue statements punctuated by brief text-based fact checks.
The Donald Trump Show, a three-part documentary from filmmakers 72 Films that uses news footage from TV, podcasts, and social media to tell the story of the 79-year-old’s final nine months as an unfolding soap opera, will also be on channel 4.
Following a previous 2019 trip, Mr. Trump’s second state visit to the UK will be his most public. This is an unprecedented gesture toward a US president. Protests are scheduled for the following week in London as part of his first state visit to the UK, which included thousands of demonstrators in opposition.
On the first day of the trip, the Stop Trump Coalition will hold a large demonstration in central London, with plans for a second protest close to Windsor Castle.
