Celtic open against St Mirren as first Old Firm game set for 31 August

On Sunday, August 3, Celtic, champions, begin their campaign against St Mirren to defend their Scottish Premiership crown.

The only 15:00 BST kickoff on Saturday, August 2, is when Rangers travel to Motherwell in the early evening. Kilmarnock will face Livingston.

On Sunday, Falkirk hosts Dundee United, returning to the top flight after 15 years, while Dundee faces Hibernian.

Aberdeen and Heart of Midlothian welcome Aberdeen to Tynecastle on August 4, 2018.

Last season, Celtic won 13 of their previous 14 titles, coming in 17 points clear of Rangers’ closest challengers.

Rangers travel to Dundee (17: 45), while Celtic travel to Aberdeen (12: 30) in the second round of fixtures.

On match weekend four, with a noon start, the first Old Firm derby of the season will take place at Ibrox on Sunday, August 31.

On August 30th, Dundee and Dundee United square off in Dens Park, while Hearts and Hibs, Edinburgh’s rivals, are scheduled to meet at Tynecastle on the weekend of October 4.

After 33 games, the division split in two, with the final five matches set to start on April 25 and end on May 17.
