After winning Celebrity Big Brother and starting a new podcast, David Potts decided his next focus would be to slim down, even managing to lose weight over Christmas while doing panto
Celebrity Big Brother winner David Potts has lost a staggering 2.5st, despite being busy with his panto run and Christmas.
The Ibiza Weekender star shared a side-by-side before and after photo, typing: “OMG I’M SNATCHED.” He shared his news on Instagram, telling his fans how he dropped the weight. Having enlisted the help of a personal trainer, the 32-year-old announced he’d done it the old fashioned way, after “putting in the hard work.”
David wrote: “OMG IM SNATCHED! 2.5 stone down.
“WOW! I’m so bloody happy with my results. Being on a weightloss journey over Christmas is hard enough especially when you throw panto in the mix.
“But I’m so proud of myself for putting in the hard work. And it’s paying off. I cannot wait to see the results along the way.
“I want to give a massive shoutout to @floydtransform for helping me with this. You’re amazing and I can’t thank you enough! And @nuffieldhealth_bolton for supplying the vibes daily. Just another 7.5 stone to go haha.”
David’s celeb pals heaped support on him in the comments section of his post. Comedian Alan Carr hyped his mate up, replying: “You’ve got this!!!” Ibiza Weekender co-star Ellie Young added: “So proud of you.”
Britain’s Got Talent contestant and Ru Paul winner Danny Beard wrote: “Get it girleh! My Pammy for life!”
While David has tried his hand many a reality show, including Celebs Go Dating, Celebs on the Farm, Celebrity Ghost Trip, The Big Celebrity Detox and Celebrity Karaoke Club – there’s one he has vetoed. The TV star, who now has his own podcast, The David Potts Show, said he’d be the “worst person” to take part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
David said: “I always think would I want to go into the jungle? I’d be horrendous. Everyone always says I should do it but honestly I’d probably be the worst person they’ve ever had in there. I’m scared of everything. I don’t even like rice. I’d be like ‘are you able to chuck us a jacket potato down?'”
But while heading Down Under is completely off the cards, David would be up for a reboot of the show that shot him to fame – ITV’s Ibiza Weekender. He was first on TV in 2016 and said he’d love another bash at it.
He said: “I never thought about doing telly in the first place so to still be doing it 10 years on is so wild. It will be 10 years this September when I went off filming my first series of Ibiza Weekender. It’s all so incredibly insane. I would absolutely love it to come back but don’t know if I’d be able to deal with the hangovers. I’m 32 now and I was 22 when I started it.”
He said at the time of his future plans: “There’s always chinwags going on. There’s multiple things I’m going to be doing on the telly and I’m in talks about the next series of my podcast but I won’t be solo this time. I can’t say too much but you’ll definitely know who they are and they’re equally as high energy as me, so it’s going to be carnage.”
