Ella Rae Wise, a reality TV star, has spoken out about her breakup with TOWIE co-star Dan Edgar and admitted she was “hurt” by fans’ comments.
Ella-Rae Wise has opened up about the emotional toll of her recent break-up with TOWIE star Dan Edgar, admitting she’s been left “hurt” by fans’ speculation over the timing of their split. The TOWIE duo called time on their romance just before she entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Ella, 24, was seen in tears inside the famous ITV house as she opened up on the split. A few days after entering the reality programme, she opened up about their relationship. She was comforted by her housemates JoJo Siwa and Angellica Bell as she broke down in tears about the very recent heartbreak.
She said, “I think people forget that I went in after a really fresh break-up,” adding only that she was upset about it. Hearing people say I split with Dan just to go in there with a big game plan is hurtful. That has never occurred. Behind closed doors, things hadn’t worked out for a few weeks. It was a decision of everyone’s. We’re still friendly, and we’ve never got into a fight.
This comes after Dan, 34, surprised fans with his latest statement over his relationship with Ella, as their break up is yet to be aired on The Only Way Is Essex.
In the most recent reality TV episode, Dan is reportedly talking about Ella with Roman Hackett and Diags. The pair only becoming a hit because of their ongoing dating, Dan claimed he never formally requested Ella be his girlfriend.
Are you going to ask [Ella] to be your girlfriend, Roman, a perplexed Roman asked Dan?
Dan responded, “It wasn’t that I was never going to ask her; it just came to a point where I thought we were both content and just going with the flow.”
Diags retorted, saying Ella would have preferred to be asked informally and that he should have told him to “Pull your finger out of your a*** and ask her.”
Dan then responded, claiming that he had informed her that they were together. He told his pals, “We are in a relationship,” before Diags sarcastically referring to the gesture as “so romantic.”
Before Celebrity Big Brother got under way, Ella revealed the duo had gone their separate ways. She said at the time the duo had struggled on agreeing on their futures.
“I’m 24, I don’t want to live out there,” Ella explained to The Sun. “I just feel our stars aren’t aligned. I just feel that he’s really conscious about wasting time with someone.”
Ella also told her co-stars, “It’s just one of them things,'” she told them about the split. Everyone makes me feel like an idiot, so… I was already anticipating what I wanted him to be. And I initially believed he might work for me, but he might just be… And I don’t want to spend years trying to change anyone. Do you comprehend my definition?
Following the incident, Dan took to social media to express her regret on how the past week has seen an odd turn of events and things said that he didn’t really want to comment on. However, Ella and I made an agreement to end our relationship last week and spoke up until she left the house to enter.
There are some things in life that I would prefer to keep private, despite the fact that we both have reasons for why it wasn’t working out. I wish her the best of luck and hope she finds her experience enjoyable.
