After only dating for eight months, Jojo Siwa has admitted to already thinking about marriage with Chris Hughes. The pair are set to celebrate their first Christmas together.

As the festive period goes on, the Celebrity Big Brother star has said she already knows little details she wants to include in a wedding to Chris and suggested she wants a ring for Christmas, but Chris has said a proposal is not happening this holiday season.

Jojo was asked if she wanted a diamond for Christmas when she was interviewed and said her eyes “light up.” She then admitted that she was already familiar with the playlist’s theme and music.

“I do know that I want it to have a baby-blue colour scheme and I need to help Chris make the playlist,” Jojo told The Sun. “Otherwise, it’ll be all songs I don’t know!” She cited The 1975 and said she would want to include NSYNC and Backstreet Boys.

She went on to say that she even asked Chris for “a ring” for Christmas because Jojo asked him what he wanted under the tree. He responded, “Really?” ‘. I responded, “A Ring doorbell!”

Jojo more seriously pondered whether she should propose to Chris despite the joke. The former Love Islander responded that she “can’t” because being proposed to would “really make him uncomfortable.” She then asked him what would happen if she gave him a ring. He continued, stating that Jojo would not be getting a wedding ring this year because he felt the holidays weren’t appropriate to propose to him.

He explained that many people get married at Christmas, which they “see on Instagram each year.” He therefore favors making the proposal at a later time when it is less likely. He did not specify when that would occur, but he did say it would occur within the next seven years because “it shouldn’t take you seven years to work out if you want to marry someone.”

This conversation came only eight months in the couple’s relationship. They met whilst appearing on Celebrity Big Brother together. At the time, Jojo was in a relationship with Kath Ebbs and identified publicly as a lesbian. As such, her break up with Kath and her later relationship with Chris led to a lot of speculation and conversation online.

Jojo, however, stated after Celebrity Big Brother that she felt “pressured” to label herself as a lesbian. The 22-year-old resolutely denied that she had ever cheated on Kath and that she still identifies as queer.

She told the Daily Mail : “When I came out at 17, I said: ‘I’m pansexual, because I don’t care [about gender].’ But then I kind of boxed myself in and I said: ‘I’m a lesbian.’ And I think I did that because of pressure.”

Arlene Phillips took to social media ahead of the hotly anticipated final to urge viewers to remember what Strictly is really about – entertainment, joy and the love of dance – rather than bitterness and online pile-ons.

Sharing a photo of this year’s finalists; Amber Davies, Karen Carney and George Clarke, the legendary choreographer didn’t hold back as she addressed the backlash that has surrounded the series.

“I wish everyone would remember that this is an entertaining show.” It has gotten so unsettling and depressingly serious online.

The former Strictly judge, who served on the panel for six years, then addressed one of the show’s most contentious topics head-on: contestants with previous dance training.

“Sometimes it seems people forget the @ BBC invites these contestants, all with a mixture of dance histories, they don’t just wander into the competition,” she wrote. “There have always been contestants with some dance training taking part. At what level, it varies.”

Arlene made it clear that she thinks the criticism’s tone has crossed the threshold in recent years, saying that it must stop “because the bitterness that is currently being felt by those taking part exceeds anything that has ever existed.”

Pointing to past seasons, she reminded fans that prior experience doesn’t guarantee victory. “It’s not even the case that those with prior training always results in a winner,” she said, referencing Layton Williams. “One of the best dancers – he didn’t win but he was fabulous to watch.”

The dance veteran praised the world-class choreographers who create the routines week after week while also shining a light on the creative team behind the scenes. Strictly has always had a simple heart, according to Arlene. The enjoyment of dancing and learning Latin dance styles should be the focus of each season, she said.

Arlene was eager to celebrate the contributions that each of the finalists made to the table. Amber Davies, who has a background in musical theater, received a lot of support.

However, the Daily Mail reported that Brooklyn is set to remain estranged from his family and spend the holiday with the family of his wife Nicola Peltz. A source told the publication: “Brooklyn and Nicola decided they would be spending this Christmas with her family. Her parents are really excited to have them.”
