Kate Winslet admits ‘it’s the only thing I regret’ as she confronts childhood health issue

The 50-year-old actress has openly discussed her troubled early years, when classmates at school were “bloody horrible” to her, locking her in closets, and mocking her weight.

Kate Winslet, the Oscar-winning actress, has revealed how cruel taunts from classmates and even teachers led to her developing a serious health issue. She claimed that the drama school staff had treated her poorly, which sparked an eating disorder, because she wasn’t as slim as some of the other girls in her acting class.

She explained on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs: “I really remember vividly a drama teacher who many people have wrongly assumed was a man – it was actually a woman – and she said to me, ‘Well darling, you’ll have a career if you’re happy to settle for the fat girl parts’.”

She continued, “from the age of 15 to the age of 19,” adding that she was “on and off diets.” Kate eventually claimed that she was no longer eating and that she was “really unhealthy.”

The only thing I really regret about my life is that, according to Kate, it’s the only thing I’ll ever regret because, she said, “Oh my God, do I look fatter, do I look fatter, do I look fatter? “, the host of the program Lauren Laverne. That continued for a very long time.

You lot, you were bloody horrible to me, and you should be ashamed, she told her former classmates.

Kate recalls that her primary school days were the source of the bullying: “I had many kids tease me at primary school. They would refer to me as “Blubber.”

I wasn’t even too heavy, they said. They would lock me in the art cupboard and say, “Blubber’s blubbing in the art cupboard,” and other similar phrases. I just had stocky thighs.

The multi-BAFTA award-winning actress recalls how, at the age of 15, the other girls at her school began to hate her talent: “They hated me then. When I went back to school, I was reminded that their desks had been moved to the other side of the room and I had been pushed into a corner.

She claimed she had “pretty thick skin” and put herself in drama school because, according to Kate, “the school meant people became as illogical as I could possibly make them.” I would not allow them to ruin a trajectory I had been determined to be on.

Kate has since developed into one of the most admired and respected actresses of her generation due to the trajectory she took. The 50-year-old actress has a range of impressive acting talents, including Juliet Hulme’s role in The Reader and Juliet Hulme’s role in Titanic, which won her an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2008 for.

After being denied entry to the PDC World Darts Championship due to a negative drug test, Dom Taylor says he is “sincerely sorry”.

The Darts Regulation Authority announced on Friday that Englishman Taylor, who defeated Oskar Lukasiak in the first round at Alexandra Palace, was subjected to “ongoing anti-doping procedures.”

Taylor apologized for “blatant lying” and promised to be “back to prove himself.”

The 27-year-old claimed that a number of personal traumas, including the death anniversary of his daughter, had had an impact on his mental health.

Taylor described the earlier suspension as “the biggest letdown of my life” and claimed that he had “rebounded back” after Lukasiak’s defeat.

Taylor wrote on Facebook that she needed to apologize for blatantly lying to everyone in my interview following my defeat of Oskar last week.

I completed and finished the course that I was required to complete at the end of last year and the beginning of this year, along with all other requirements and sanctions.

After proving that the substance was not performance-enhancing and was taken outside of competition, he was given a potential two-year ban and committed to finishing a three-month treatment program that had been approved by UK Anti-Doping.
