In a dramatic last-16 match, Italy’s Matteo Berrettini defeated British No. 2 Cameron Norrie.
The world number 59 overcame Norrie in three hours and 16 minutes with a 7-6 (8-6) 6-7 (9-11) 6-4 victory in Vienna.
In the tie-break, Norrie punished Berretini for letting a 4-1 lead slip in the first set.
Both players kept serving throughout the second set, which was even tighter.
In the tie-break, Norrie took his fourth set-point opportunity to tie the game, but the Italian wasted a match point.
However, the 30-year-old was unable to sustain his momentum in the decisive set, so Berrettini made a crucial break in the ninth game to turn the match in his favor.

Fabio Wardley vs. Joseph Parker
O2 Arena, London Date: Saturday, October 25th, 2018
In a heavyweight fight at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday, Joseph Parker warned Briton Fabio Wardley about “levels,” vowing to “smash him.”
The winner of Parker’s WBO “interim” belt is anticipated to face unbeaten heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk the following day.
And Wardley’s 20-fight unbeaten streak will be ended by the New Zealander, 33.
At Thursday’s news conference, former world champion Parker declared, “I have many miles on the clock and I have many more miles to bring.”
Parker is currently the WBO’s top contender for the title and is next up against Ukrainian Usyk, but he has agreed to take on Wardley, putting his weight on the line to earn another statement victory.
Anthony Joshua, Dillian Whyte, and Joe Joyce, the Auckland-born fighter, have lost three of their 39 professional fights, but he appears to have recovered under trainer Andy Lee.
Parker has once more become a member of the heavyweight division’s elite with victories over Deontay Wilder, Zhilei Zhang, and Martin Bakole.
Parker, who held the full WBO world title between 2016 and 2018, continued, “I’m a different level, to be honest, and I’ll show it on Saturday.”
Wardley appeals to me more than knockouts.

Wardley’s progression through the heavyweight ranks is nothing short of remarkable.
He first started boxing in the unlicensed white-collar scene when he was 20 years old before becoming a professional.
Wardley remained unaffected in response to Parker’s assertions.
It’s nothing new to me, I think. He continued, “I enjoy the challenge.” “I’m eager to step up,” I said. I’m proving to people that I’m wrong, that I’m wrong, and that I’m very much at this top level.
Wardley won the 10th-round match against Australian Justis Huni in June despite trailing on the scorecards at the time, and he showed his quality there by winning against David Adeleye and Frazer Clarke.
However, he thinks that his technical prowess occasionally outweighs his knockout record, which includes 18 wins and one draw in 19 victories.
“Just because my record is full of highlight-reel knockouts, I think people get off track of that and lose sight of what actually caused those punches or those moments,” said Wardley.
There is a lot more preparation required of mine and the team than I do for the ring if you think I’ll be running around with my right hand ready to go.
Parker repeated his earlier statement as the press conference came to a close when he was asked for Wardley’s final message.

It appears that Katie has ditched her signature jet black locks for a voluminous curly brown hair-do. However, it’s not Katie’s permanent new look, as the new hair-do is actually a custom-made wig, but fans have gushed over the transformative new look insisting that it’s her best one yet.

Celebrity hairstylist Dominic Ackah-Amihere is the genius behind Katie’s incredible makeover as the talented hair-master took to Instagram on Friday to unveil the star’s bold new look. Shedding light on the process, the hairstylist told his followers in the caption: “We had 3 minutes to throw this on and conceal 26 inches of hair.”
The post has garnered quite the reaction from social media users who have flocked to gush over Katie’s new look. Meanwhile, others mistook her for Boyz hitmaker, Jesy Nelson, 34. “OMG, I genuinely thought this was a picture of Jesy Nelson,” one wrote.
“Wow Katie actually looks incredible. She’s always had curly hair and it’s nice to see that she’s embracing that again,” another wrote. “I did not think that was Katie at first glance,” someone else said.
Katie’s transformation comes after her latest bombshell revelation after she admitted that she once shared a kiss with not one, but three Hollywood and huge music stars. Among the names was American rap sensation Eminem. Katie reportedly name dropped the 8 Mile star during a question and answer session on stage.
During her ongoing tour with celebrity pal Kerry Katona, she was asked about any celebrity kisses she has shared, with the interviewer questioned: “Three celebrities you’ve kissed?” Katie is said to have rapidly responded: “Jamie Foxx, Eminem and Simon Cowell.”
According to The Sun, the quick answer left the audience gasping. While she didn’t give away any further details, the pair met in 2001. At the time, she was best known as Jordan and went to the star’s private party.
He was also in the UK performing at the Brit Awards in the same year. He took home the gong for Best International Male at the ceremony.
Katie had previously opened up about her alleged escapades with music mogul Simon in her biography. She described the pair meeting at a Comedy Awards ceremony and said she was single at the time.
She wrote: “I’d had a lot to drink and he invited me back to his place. I got undressed and we got into bed together. His bedclothes were all white.
“He had a really hairy chest and I got this real sense of being with a man for the first time. He was the oldest person I had been in bed with.”

She claimed that while she stayed the night the pair didn’t have sex. And she also said he got her a car home in the morning.
New Zealand 38-1 (3.4 overs): Seifert 23* (11), Carse 1-25
England: Did not bat.
England win series 1-0; match abandoned.
Despite the rain, England’s T20 series in New Zealand has still been “very worthwhile,” according to captain Harry Brook.
Only 20 were bowled in the first match in Christchurch, and only 3.4% of those bowled in the third T20 were possible on Thursday in Auckland.
In the run-up to the T20 World Cup in February, England won the series 1-0 thanks to a dominant 65-run victory in the second game. Brook insisted that the time they have had off the field has been beneficial.
“The other night was a class game to be a part of,” Brook said.
“We had a lot of fun out there, and it was definitely entertaining.”

In New Zealand, thousands of people have been without power due to severe weather, but the majority of the disruption has occurred south of Auckland.
This series was scheduled for a surprisingly early start to New Zealand’s season, which was always going to be overshadowed by England’s build-up to the Ashes series starting next month.
Some people may be offended by Brook’s proposal to talk about their off-field interactions. Some fans find England’s habit of talking about golf unsettling, but Brook’s comments are accurate.
Under Jos Buttler’s captaincy, England’s white-ball squads frequently felt depressed and defeated due to their demises at the 2023 World Cup, the T20 World Cup in 2024, and the Champions Trophy earlier this year.
While coach Brendon McCullum revitalized the Test side with their innovative “Bazball” approach, some players chose to skip bilateral series for franchise opportunities.
McCullum regularly promoted a relaxed and enjoyable environment in the Test group as a result of his initial efforts to combine his White-ball coaching duties with his Test duties at the start of the year.
Before this tour, England made a team-building stop in Queenstown, New Zealand’s adventure sports capital, where golf is naturally a top priority.
We had a few days of team bonding and spent a lot of time together, which the white-ball team has never had, added Brook.
To be able to spend time together and make good friends. We had a lot of fun, and having fun off the field can also help you on the field.
It has been incredibly worthwhile.
As England’s white-ball captain, Brook has won his first overseas series. Since he took over England’s white-ball teams in April, they have won seven of their eight T20 victories.
However, they will ultimately be judged at the T20 World Cup in February, so they only have three more games to play on January 30 against Sri Lanka, the host nation, before the campaign kicks off.
When Joe Root, Ben Duckett, Jofra Archer, Jofra Archer, and Jamie Smith join the squad for their third one-day international series against the Black Caps on Sunday (02:00 BST), Archer will miss his first ODI to manage his workload before traveling to Australia.
