Adler’s passing follows the death of his former co-star, Charley Scalies, who also died earlier this year after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. News of Adler’s death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from fans, particularly following recent revelations from the show’s creator about his biggest regret concerning the series.

Adler, who began his acting career in his 60s, was widely praised on social media for his memorable roles, including his stint on The Sopranos and subsequent parts in The Good Wife, Rescue Me, and other sitcoms.

One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter):” If you have watched TV in the last 30 years or so, you know him as a fantastic character actor. Rest well, Jerry Adler. “

” RIP Hesh, “another added, while a third said:” Sleeping with the fishes, “referencing his role in The Sopranos.

Before turning to acting, Adler had a successful career as a Broadway stage manager, working on productions like My Fair Lady and directing numerous theatre shows.

His acting career took off after he received a casting call for the 1992 Joe Pesci-led film The Public Eye. He first graced our screens in a 1991 episode of CBS’s Brooklyn Bridge, before securing regular roles on ABC’s Hudson Street and The WB’s Alright Already and Raising dad shows.

He also showcased his talent on the big screen in Manhattan Murder Mystery, Getting Away with Murder, In Her Shoes, Synecdoche, New York, and A Most Violent Year.

Adler’s passing marks the latest in a series of losses from the cast of the hit mob series. James Gandolfini, the show’s star, tragically passed away in 2013 at the age of 51.

Robert Loggia and David Margulies both left in 2015, and John Heard both left in 2017.

One of her go-to products that she praises is the Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream, which is currently retailing for an affordable £21 at retailers like Sephora, Space NK and ASOS.

This budget-friendly cream promises to leave your complexion looking smoother, hydrated, and more radiant by morning. It is set to deeply nourish your skin while you snooze, so you can wake up to that covetable, dewy skin.

Touted for delivering dewy, fresh skin every day, Imogen’s Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream is a luxurious moisturiser that works as part of your evening skincare routine to pamper the complexion and provide smoother, fresher, and brighter results in the morning.

This Mario Badescu cream is rich in moisture-binding ingredients that provide intense hydration, while promising not to clog the pores or leave the skin feeling oily. Enriched with bladderwrack extract, the cream optimises its blend of nourishing minerals that help leave skin silky soft.

The cream’s long list of skin-loving ingredients includes collagen and elastin, which boost the skin’s tone and texture. When used each night, this seaweed night cream delivers its pampering properties to the complexion as you sleep, so you can wake up to a radiantly even finish.

If you fancy shopping more from Imogen’s go-to skincare brand, you can find the Mario Badescu Pore Minimizer at Boots for £12.

Over at Sephora, this night cream boasts 396 reviews, with a whopping 358 of those bestowing a perfect 5-star rating.

One shopper shares: “This is by far the best night cream. I wake up with smooth and dewy skin. Love the results!”

Another buyer beams: “I’ve been using this seaweed night cream for the past four weeks, and the results have been amazing! My skin feels incredibly smooth and has a natural, healthy glow that I haven’t seen in a long time. I’ve also noticed a visible reduction in fine lines, especially around my eyes and mouth. The texture is lightweight yet deeply hydrating, and it absorbs quickly without feeling greasy. This cream has definitely become a staple in my nightly routine, and I love waking up to refreshed, radiant skin every morning. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a product that delivers real, noticeable results!”

One shopper does share their less than satisfactory experience, writing: “After using this for a couple of months I have decided not to purchase this again. I love the smell… it is amazing but in the morning, after I apply the cream at night, it is still sitting on my face. It does not absorb well at all so I will be passing on this one. I do love Mario Badescu skin care but not too thrilled about this one.”

Son and Muller celebrate first MLS goals

Former Tottenham captain Son Heung-min and ex-Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller both registered their first Major League Soccer goals on Saturday.

South Korea star Son, 33, scored a stunning free-kick just six minutes into his second start for Los Angeles FC, who drew 1-1 with FC Dallas.

It was Son’s third appearance since ending his 10-year stay in the Premier League for a record MLS fee in excess of £20m.

“I’m glad I scored [my] first goal [in] the MLS and also for LAFC. But for me, the most important thing is to get three points. I’m really, really disappointed for that,” Son said.

“I need still a lot of time to be connecting with the team. It’s been only two weeks – maybe a little bit more – but I’m enjoying every single moment.”

German Muller, 35, converted a penalty in the 14th minute of stoppage-time to clinch a dramatic 3-2 victory for Vancouver Whitecaps against St Louis City.

Muller, whose 25-year association with Bayern Munich ended with the expiration of his contract this summer, captained his new side in his first start after making a substitute appearance last week.
