Liam Gallagher teases ‘big announcement imminent’ as fans get ready

By implying that there will be significant news coming, Liam Gallagher has enraged his fans. Fans are eager to learn what the Mancunian has to say about a Knebworth residency and a stadium tour that is on the rise.

He took to Twitter/X on Tuesday to express himself in capital letters, “Big announcement imminent.” And excited fans quickly flooded the comments section.

One follower complained, “Every time you say this, the timeline looks like it’s 1996 again.” We’re prepared for it, whatever you’re about to drop.

Another said, “My heartbeat just complained about noise.” Drop . The. “Announcement”

Additionally, Oasis star Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs made a tease to fans by telling Liam to “hurry up.” “Hurry up @liamgallagher,” He later wrote, “I’m going out.”

One fan remarked, “European Tour Bonehead or we riot.” Another phrase was added, “My dog will be very sad if you don’t play Knebworth again.” You guys are cooler than Mr. Freeze, according to Jenny.

Some fans, who claimed to have been here before, didn’t want to raise their hopes too high. They remarked, “Big announcement is imminent,” “Oh Liam”?

Mate, you yelled “I work out” while constructing our bodies like this last time; you were just flexing in the mirror and doing it! or declaring yourself “The B*****ks”. I’m rioting if Noel and I have to have another pint of tea together. Spray it before we all get a new decade of age.

Any upcoming shows the legendary band left unsure after their comeback tour was over. Following Brazil’s final performance, they shared a message with the audience.

There will now be a period of reflection, the band declared a week ago. However, his most recent message has now sent them back into high gear.

After Liam had a question about the band’s future, it arrived. According to Liam, it wasn’t just his decision, as there were rumors about a Knebworth residency in the summer of next year and additional shows at venues like their beloved Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

After casting doubts over the potential showpieces, Liam responded to a fan by saying, “Oasis’ future plans aren’t just down to him. He had a different perspective from what he had previously said to Wembley Stadium’s fans after he said he would see them again next year.

Since returning to Cardiff in July, they have played 41 sold-out stadium shows this year as part of their epic comeback. As they settled their differences and performed together on stage for the first time in 16 years, Noel and Liam Gallagher successfully rekindled the nostalgia they had for so long.

Cat Deeley blocked from Fashion Awards after party with huge stars

Following a night of glitz and glamour at the Royal Albert Hall, This Morning presenter Cat Deeley was photographed getting blocked from officials at the Fashion Awards after party.

The after party looked a little different from the fashion awards this year, with celebrities getting in taxis and even being prevented from entering.

Olivia Attwood was spotted taking selfies in the back of the taxi on her way home, and Cat Deeley, who looked stunning in a velvet red dress, was reportedly prevented from entering the after party due to her ticked allegedly wouldn’t scan.

On Monday December 1, The Fashion Awards 2025 took place at the Royal Albert Hall in London as the world’s fashion industry swooped. The ceremony, which Colman Domingo hosted, once more honored both the creative minds behind modern clothing as well as the stars who decorate runways and red carpets.

Beyond the lights and outfits, the event continues to raise money for the British Fashion Council Foundation, which encourages the development of new design talent in the UK.

‘Stoppages, TMOs, referees’ hurting rugby ‘badly’

Former Ireland full-back Rob Kearney has told the BBC’s Ireland Rugby Social podcast that he expects “big changes” in rugby union guidelines over the “next three to six months” to improve the game as a spectacle.

Talking to BBC Sport NI’s Gavin Andrews and former Ireland team-mate Conor Murray, Kearney said he believes too many stoppages in the game, caused primarily by television match official (TMO) reviews designed to aid refereeing decisions, are having an adverse effect.

The former Leinster back, now 39, was appointed to the executive board of World Rugby in 2024.

“Stoppages, TMOs, referees, it’s hurting the game badly,” said Kearney of the biggest short-term challenge facing the game.

“Big changes I think will happen in the next three to six months – certainly remit number one from a World Rugby perspective is to improve and make changes because the product on the field at the moment is not good enough, it’s not what it needs to be,” said Kearney.

“With so many other sports you’re under pressure to win fans and eyeballs.”

Kearney, who won 95 caps before being left out of the Ireland squad after the 2019 World Cup quarter-final defeat by New Zealand in Japan, added that, on the physical side of the game, the safety element around concussion is also “a big threat”.

“A lot of work has been done, not to eradicate it because it has always been there, rugby is a physical sport and there are always going to be head knocks.

“We have to appreciate that it’s part and parcel of the game and just get on with it, and hope the authorities are doing the best that they can to stay up with science and medicine and return-to-play protocols.

“I think tackle height may change in time. That would be one side of it, while the financial costs of the game are not good.

Ireland career ‘ended rapidly’

Kearney expressed disappointment at the manner of his exclusion from Andy Farrell’s squad for the 2020 Six Nations after being an integral part of the Ireland group under previous coach Joe Schmidt.

The ex-Ireland number 15 revealed that he learned of his omission from the squad in “a very, very quick phone call”.

“My international career didn’t get cut short but it ended rapidly. I played the World Cup matches and then Andy Farrell came in and picked his new squad.

“The Six Nations was only three months away so in my head I was thinking that if I was good enough to start at the World Cup…”.

Kearney also talks about playing the final game of his 16-year spell with Leinster in an empty stadium because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He finished his career with a season playing for Western Force in Australia before a stint playing club gaelic football in Louth. In the podcast, he also chooses the best players he played with and against – two Ireland legends contesting the former accolade and two celebrated All Blacks in the running in the latter category.

Kearney selects Ireland’s 2009 and 2018 Grand Slams as two of his most memorable moments, with the ground-breaking victory over the All Blacks in 2016 the third highlight.

“Selfishly the ’18 Grand Slam almost means the most to me because in 2009 I was young, everything was great, I was fresh off the rank, body was good, everything was just perfect and falls into place.

“Nine years on your form goes really bad and you pick up loads of injuries, you’re in and you’re out, the inevitable ups and downs that come with professional rugby.

Sudan army refutes claim that RSF has seized key city of Babnusa

The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) claim that Babnusa, west of West Kordofan, is under the control of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).

Sudan’s military administration announced in a statement on Tuesday that it had resisted an RSF attack. The paramilitary group claimed the day before that West Kordofan, a significant city in central Sudan, was in complete control of Babnusa.

The paramilitary force took complete control of the Darfur region last month, and western Sudan at large via Babnusa.

Following a week-long siege, the RSF released videos showing its fighters removing an army base from Babnusa. The SAF maintained, however, that the city was still rife with fighting.

Our forces’ official statement read, “The RSF launched a new attack on the city, which our forces decisively rejected.”

Hiba Morgan from Khartoum reported on Al Jazeera’s Hiba Morgan that the army claimed that the battles are ongoing and that their soldiers are still residing there. However, “the RSF has taken control of that,” is what we can undoubtedly confirm.

She said that if the RSF regains control of Babnusa, it will “solidify its control over the West Kordofan region” and add “any major access ways to the western part of the country.”

According to Morgan, “Bombusa must pass for the Sudanese army to enter parts of Darfur or other parts of Kordofan,” making regaining control of Darfur even more difficult.

Other parts of Kordofan, including the southern region of Abbasiya Tagali, were reported to be experiencing ferocious clashes, according to Al Jazeera Arabic.

Broken “ceasefire”

After capturing the city of el-Fasher, the army’s final holdout in Darfur, the RSF’s assault on Babnusa strengthens the group’s momentum.

Witnesses and international aid organizations on the ground have uncovered a large number of atrocities committed by the RSF. RSF militias are implicated in numerous murders, rapes, and kidnappings, according to evidence.

The RSF’s recent clashes also appear to have broken the unilateral ceasefire that was established following mediation between the “Quad” of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the US.

The SAF has accused the RSF of continuing its attacks despite its declared truce, rejecting the terms of the Quad’s proposed ceasefire.

The government described the announced ceasefire as “nothing but a political and media ploy intended to cover up] the Sudanese people’s ongoing Emirati support and field movements.”

The UAE has frequently been accused of providing money and weapons to the RSF, but it has vehemently refrained from participating.

According to analysts, the RSF will likely move towards el-Obeid in North Kordofan if Babnusa completely falls.

The political shockwave, according to Kholood Khair, the founding director of UK-based risk management company Confluence Advisory, will be sizable if the city falls.

It’s a significant economic triumph, a regional capital, and a huge mercantile center. Additionally, it brings Khartoum’s RSF a few steps closer.

In March, the RSF was ordered to leave the Sudanese capital, with the SAF’s appearance to be on the rise during the more than two-year conflict.

The tables are now, however, turning once more. The SAF now faces a threat of losing Kordofan, after completely losing Darfur with the fall of El-Fasher.

Salah a top professional after being dropped – Slot

Mohamed Salah’s response to being dropped was described by Liverpool manager Arne Slot as “top professional.”

Salah was named on the bench for Sunday’s 2-0 Premier League victory at West Ham following nine defeats in all 12 games.

Since April 2024, he has been dropped for the league under Slot’s successor Jurgen Klopp.

Salah, an international from Egypt, scored only four goals in the top flight this season, despite having the Golden Boot last season with 29 goals.

“That’s a typical response from a player who’s good enough to play for us,” Slot said. “I say that mildly because he has been so outstanding for this club for so long and will be for the future,” he said.

“He wasn’t the only one who wasn’t content that he wasn’t beginning, which is normal.”

Despite being dropped, Slot claimed Salah “handled himself really well.”

He has a lot of discipline, and he knows how to stay healthy, Slot said.

“He will always be that top professional, and that’s what he was in the last two days,” he said. Whether he plays well or not, or whether he plays well or not.

There are times when you spend time with the club that players are human, just like there are with all the players in their own world. He has already scored so many goals for us, and I’m confident he will.

Slot confirmed that Salah will not be available for Liverpool until December 15 when he travels to the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon). On January 18, 2026, the final is held.

Without him, Slot said, “We have to find a way to play,” according to Slot.

Liverpool, the defending champions, are eighth in the Premier League, nine points clear of Arsenal.

Analysis: Salah might miss seven games at Liverpool.

Since Slot has confirmed that Salah will leave for Afcon on December 15, that means that his final game against Brighton is scheduled for December 13th.

Salah won’t travel to Merseyside until at least January 19th if Egypt reach the final.

That would mean he would miss seven games, including the Emirates Stadium match against Arsenal on January 8.

Salah was left on the bench at West Ham after Slot’s refusal to say whether he would leave him out for the following two weeks, but the Reds manager acknowledged the Egyptian was disappointed.

Six-placed Sunderland will be hoping to win at Anfield for the first time since 1983, despite the fact that Liverpool have lost their previous two games at home.
